this is the first thing all hogwarts students see when they enter in their first year before they are sorted. therefore, it is certainly fancy, as it is the first impression the school will make on it's students. many describe it as breathtaking.

the great hall is the room where everyone eats each meal. five large tables take up a majority of the space, each table representing a house, and one for the teaching staff. the ceiling is charmed to look like the sky outside it. it is said this is one of the most magical rooms in the school.

the hogwarts ballroom is not used very often. the school rarely hosts balls, however this year that may begin to change. this room is almost as fancy as the entrance hall, and is twice as large.

this is the first floor that is seen by anyone entering hogwarts, and it is rather fabulous. by far the fanciest floor of hogwarts, and most of the primarily used rooms are located on this floor.
