teddy hated studying. but maybe learning potions with alexander wouldn't be so bad, after all, he was a pretty funny dude. and his family would be glad that he was getting above a dreadful in the class, because that was where most of his marks hovered. he could imagine the shock on his grasndmothers face when she saw an acceptable in potions, or maybe something higher. she would be so proud of him. and then maybe she would stop bothering him to work on extra stuff in the summer and let him focus on his quidditch. that would be nice.
"that's awesome. thank you." he said, thinking of them making some awesome potions. maybe even inventing their own. wouldn't that be awesome? inventing a potion. but what would it do? maybe alex had some ideas. but they would talk about that once teddy actually understood how to brew a potion. he hated having to follow careful instructions and always did what he wanted with the ingredients. that was his problem.
teddy wondered what had happened in the back of the store. who had the second waiter gone to when he wanted to try and get them thrown out? the manager? the owner? had the waiter really thrown a temper tantrum and thrown something? he really didn't have a sense of humor if he did, it was just a joke after all. and why was the first waiter ignoring him?
teddy was scared of this man. he couldn't reach his wand, and he wasn't that great at hand to hand combat. he was used to settling things through duels, not with some guy grabbing him by the shirt collar. he tried reaching his wand, struggling to keep his neutral and smug expression on his face. if the waiter saw he was frightened, he would gain more momentum and then he would probably hit teddy rather than just hold on to his shirt collar. he took a keep breath, trying to think. how could he get this guy off him so he could get to his wand?
alex pulled out his wand and a knife, and teddy was wondering just how the potions studying ravenclaw had gotten so badass. the man was barely paying attention to alex though, lost in his own rant about what getting fired meant to him. teddy wasn't really listening, he was trying to figure out how to get out of this situation.
then, suddenly he heard it. a little girl was speaking to her mother, and all the sudden noticed them. 'look mommy! the superhero man is fighting his villian! GO METAMORPHO!" she yelled, and it gave teddy willpower. he grabbed the two hands that were holding him and pried the fingers off, getting the waiter off for a split second. then, he grabbed his wand. "are you sure you want to do this? because i'm pretty sure i know more spells than you do, and i'm positive i could beat an old guy like you hand to hand."

"See, the thing that I think separates my potions work is the fact that I treat it like a recipe to making food, so there's a willingness to experiment more to see what works, what doesn't, and what makes things better.
Alex, like anyone, had a bad side. It took a lot to reach his. A lot. He kept it under control and did a good job staying upbeat, as he had taken several years of martial arts classes as a child and continued to take them during his breaks. That and the natural patience of a person who worked with potions so often made it very hard to shake the boy.
Unless he or someone around him were threatened.
Alex was a bit off put that his threat had been ignored, but he didn't show it. He began to run through a list of spells he had mastered -a fairly short list- trying to find one he had mastered enough to cast silently. Thankfully, a little girl spoke up, and Teddy seemed to get his head back in the game.
Glad to see that Teddy grabbed his own wand. Judging by the boy's previous example of silent Summoning, he was obviously more gifted with spellwork than he. Threatening to shrink the man's dangly bits was probably a spell a bit out of his league.
"Face it, sir, you're clearly outmatched."
The little girl's yell had actually drawn attention back to the boys, and Alex pointed it out.
"See, he's trying to forcibly take my poor potions student! Sir, love need not be so aggressive!" he yelled out, hoping to gain more attention and to fluster the aggressor even more. Maybe he'd switch targets?

teddy nodded thoughtfully. he had never realized it before, but the instructions to a potion were rather similar to a recipe. adding certain ingredients at certain times, heating or cooling it to a specific temperature, stirring it in a certain way. making a potion was like making the perfect batch of cookies. and he loves cookies. so if he just pretending that the brew was going to make cookies, maybe he would follow the instructions. they hadn't even started the tutoring yet, and teddy already felt like he was learning things. "that is a smart way of looking at things. i never thought of it like that before." he said truthfully, still mulling over the idea of making cookies. he took another sip of his butterbeer, and made a face when he realized it had gotten cold while they were talking and performing for the audience.
teddy was trying to figure out the right spell to use on this man. normally at the beginning of a duel, he would try to disarm the opponent. but so far, the man hadn't taken out his wand. so that was out of the question. the waiter seethed, looking from him to alex. what did he do?
was alex crazy? sure, getting more attention was a good thing. if more people were looking, the man was less likely to attack. but he was trying to get attention in a bad way, a way that would rile the man up more than before. when people got angry, they didn't think. they just acted. the waiter looked stunned for a moment, and then his eyes clouded, in anger. he glared at alex, his focus now on the ravenclaw. 'you little FUCK' the man yelled, finally yanking out a wand. teddy acted fast, shouting the spell. the wand flew out of the waiters hand, skidding near where the crowd was standing by the bar. however, the older man didn't pause there. he lunged at alex.
teddy wasn't going to let the ravenclaw fight his battles. alex wouldn't even be in this mess if it wasn't for him. so before the older man touched the sixth year sitting across from him, teddy grabbed his arm and pulled back, yanking the man backwards and tearing the sleeve off the shirt he was wearing. the man reeled backwards, and teddy let go of him, allowing him to barrel towards the floor. he was down for only a moment, before he was racing to grab his wand. teddy took the free moments to stand, wand pointed at the man. "pick it up, and i'll send another spell towards you. you are outnumbered. stop while your ahead." the man just glared at him, and reached for his wand while the arm that the sleeve of his shirt had been torn from. what was that on his arm? black ink?
when he realized what it was, the grin that was on his face slipped off. he had seen pictures of that in the history books. the waiter was a former death eater. there was a dark mark on his arm. he looked at alex, wondering if he had noticed. they were in serious trouble.

Alex briefly wondered if he had suddenly had a major lapse in judgement. Sure, people were watching, and yes, he had planned on getting Teddy the chance to come up with some plan, but he hadn't realized the man would be carrying his wand, assuming it would be left alone while the man had been at work.
Clearly this was a mistake, as the man had to be disarmed by Teddy, and it didn't slow him down a second before he lunged at Alex. Alex himself had finally revealed his silver knife and was about to let the man impale himself on it, but Teddy grabbed the man and forced him down on the floor. The shirt's sleeve ripped, and Alex noticed a strange tattoo. The Ravenclaw quickly stood up.
Alex's blood ran cold as he recognized the mark on the man's arm. Death Eaters. That was the Dark Mark, and this man...this thing, was a Death Eater. A follower of the vile Dark Wizard Voldemort.
"Stay down, trash. Do. Not. MOVE," the young man said, disgust lacing every word of his sentence.
The Ravenclaw aimed his own wand at the man, and looked around. Everyone was staring now, and it seemed to dawn on people that this had escalated into an actual fight. Time seemed to slow, and Alex gripped both his knife and his wand, ready to attack if need be.

teddy was panicking. it felt like his blood had run cold, and there didn't seem to be enough air in the pub. he could hear the scared exclamations of a few parents, when their eyes landed on the tattoo on the waiter's arm. children were asking questions. the third years that had been laughing at teddy's riots were leaving, most likely going for help. the professors would know what to do about this, unless they found someone else sooner. this duel had just become fatal. a death eater would use unforgivables, something teddy would never even dream of attempting. they wouldn't be able to fight this man alone. especially not that his wand was back in his hand. teddy's hand was shaking. the death eater grinned, a toothy scary grin. why wasn't he in askaban?
that was a stupid question. after the battle of hogwarts, the order had rounded up as many death eaters as they could. most of them had been found, but there must of been some that weren't. plus, some of them had been let out due to the fact that they had never actually done harm, besides following lord voldemort. there were so many reasons this guy could be here. but right now, he couldn't think about that. he had to focus on staying alive. death eaters had killed his parents. they were the scum of the earth. there was no way this man was going to get the best of him. teddy's eyes hardened, and his arm stopped shaking. "you filthy bastard" he hissed. "if you know what's good for you, take your wand, get up and walk away. my parents were killed by your kind, and i won't hesitate to beat the daylights out of you, and then turn you in to the ministry. how does a lifetime sentence in askaban sound? does getting your soul sucked out of your body sound like fun?"
the crowd had pretty much rushed out of the pub. the first waiter wasn't at the bar anymore, no one was. hopefully someone was getting help. he could only hold this guy off for so long. he wasn't the best spell caster, and alex didn't seem to be either. the death eater picked up his wand, and raised his hands, defeated. he stood up slowly, knowingly staring at the two wands pointed at him. good. he was surrendering. but teddy wasn't going to drop his wand until the man was out the door.
but once he was standing, the man did not move towards the door. did he not value his life at all? at any minute, someone would be bursting in and taking him to prison. did that not mean anything to him? teddy thought about using a spell, but the man still had his hands raised. so he waited, seeing what the man was going to do. he wouldn't be4 able to cast a spell with his hands raised like that.
'i know who you are.' the man said, looking at teddy. teddy blinked. why would this man know anything about him? 'i remember your parents. both killed during the battle at hogwarts. so tragic, being orphaned so young, isn't it? your side got their revenge for your parents. their killers were killed. bellatrix and antonin, both killed" teddy only raised his wand higher and held his arm straighter. why was this man talking about the death eaters who murdered his parents? they both died in the battle, bellatrix killed by molly weasley, victoire's grandmother, and dolohov killed by the charms professor at the time. 'but, there's been rumors going around the world. that you hogwarts kids are doing something naughty. messing with the dead doesn't do you any good son. you'll only bring back what should stay underground."

Alex was thankful that people had enough sense to start leaving. The group of third years hopefully were off to find a professor. Alex was confident in potionswork, not duelling, and while there were a few potions that could work as bombs or make a gas cloud, he didn't have any on him. All he had was his silver knife and his wand, and he was, and this was unfortunate considering his opponent was likely a powerful Dark wizard, much better with his knife.
Hopefully though, they had enough command to hold him off until the authorities got here.
Alex almost made a move to stop the death eater from getting his wand, as this seemed like a dumb move, like giving a gun to a madman.
Thankfully, the Death Eater was surrendering, it seemed, with his hands still raised towards the ceiling. Follower of Voldemort or not, almost anyone was intelligent enough to realize that things wouldn't be in their favor at this point.
At least, it seemed like he had given up until he started talking about Ted's parents.
Alex's eyes widened as he looked at Ted. He knew about Ted's parents at least, having read several books about the Second Wizarding War against the Death Eaters. Ted's parentage wasn't really a surprise.
Messing with the dead, though?
"The dead? What's he talking about, Ted?"
The Death Waiter wasn't finished, however, and he looked at Alex.
"You look kinda familiar, you know. You look like a guy I use to run with. Potions expert. I haven't much heard from him in oh... sixteen years. He knocked up some filthy mudblood and ran. You look just like em."
Alex paled.
"Shut. Up."

teddy felt like he was going to throw up. why did this man know about the paper angels? they were supposed to be a secret, a group only known by the members a few other special students who had the right of knowing. how would this man learn anything about the paper angels? all the members had sworn to an oath that they wouldn't say anything to someone who was not a student at hogwarts, and breaking the oath had consequences. it had been his idea, actually. he remembered that harry told him of a spell that they used when they formed dumbledore's army, that would make a traitor break out in ugly marks that would read something, anything the spellcaster wanted. they had used this spell. teddy would know if anyone had told. they would have red marks all over their face, revealing who it was.
then it dawned on him. awhile ago, victoire had been notified by an anonymous source that said they were bringing back more people than they meant to. the person said voldemort had been reincarnated, and so had salazar slytherin. they must have gotten in contact with their former followers. oh god. this was worse than he thought. this was terrible. voldemort was rebuilding an army. they were going to start killing people. he had to tell victoire, she needed to know. but first they had to deal with this guy. he wanted to run, get out of the three broomsticks and race back to school. he wanted to find jay, and victoire and tell them what he had learned. but he couldn't leave alex here.
teddy was surprised alex didn't know about the paper angels. most of the students in hogwarts did, although many chose not to be apart of it. some of them had moral issues with bringing people back from the dead. or the religious ones believed that ripping people away from heaven was a bad thing to do. some others just found it too painful. he opened his mouth to reply, but the death eater beat him to it. "you didn't know, kid? lupin here and his girlfriend have a little club. they reincarnate people, you know? take some souls and force 'em back into bodies. they're making zombies.'
teddy shook his head violently. they weren't doing anything wrong. they were giving people second chances that they deserved. people who died early and didn't get a chance to live their lives. they had brought back so many good people. and they weren't going to stop. this year, they would bring back more. he wanted his mother, and his father back. last year, victoire had refused. but they deserved a second chance too. they hadn't even gotten a chance to live. they didn't get to experience married life for even a year before they were killed. "it's not like that alex. we're saving people. we are doing the wizarding world good."
the death eater snorted. 'good, eh? then why would your little followers bring back the dark lord? what good is that going to do ya? do you think he's changed? because he hasn't. he's going to kill you all." once again, teddy was shaking his head. "it wasn't on purpose! it was a mistake!"
teddy was shaking again, this time from anger. the death eater was trying to break them apart, make them not work together. because he knew that if alex didn't believe in teddy, then they wouldn't fight together. and if teddy didn't have alex, he wouldn't be able to win against a death eater. he knew it. "i agree with alex. shut the hell up."
the death eater only grinned, looking at alex. "they brought 'im back son. and this time, he's going to win. harry potter is no match for him this time. no love protecting him now."

Alex didn't really know what to say. His father was a nice man, and his mother was a wonderful woman.
The blood of a Death Eather though?
The blood of a killer?
The blood of a man who was entirely about forwarding his own goals and the goals of a mass murdering lunatic?
No, Alex hadn't really paid attention to the Paper Angels. He knew a few students from all houses seemed to group up for something, and maybe he'd been invited to join, maybe he hadn't. He, at a time, didn't care much for human contact at all.
He had figured it to be something like a dueling club, or something to that nature. But reviving the dead?
"No. I don't really associate much. I've got shit to to do. I told you to shut up, scum."
Teddy almost seemed pleading with him, telling him that it wasn't like that, that it was for the best. A part of him would sympathize, knowing that his parents were killed before Ted knew them, a feeling Alex was familiar with. Alex loved his parents dearly, but like with any orphan, there was always that lingering "What if..." that seemed to whisper in the minds of an orphan when he tried to sleep, leading to dreams and nightmares.
Then the Death Waiter dropped a bomb.
Reviving Voldemort?
What the hell?
The blood of a killer flowed in his veins, the blood that followed a man that he had long thought dead. A deep fear welled up in Alex. His mother was a muggleborn, and his father was a squib. There was no place for them in the world that Voldemort would run. He knew what the death eater was doing; trying to drive him apart. This brought a whole new dynamic to whatever friendship that had begun to grow amongst the teens, but Alex was a Ravenclaw, and therefore, not an idiot.
Teddy told the Death Eater to shut up. Naturally, the man didn't.
Now, it has been documented that heightened emotional stress can have an effect on magic. Most muggleborn children learned of their gifts in a fit of pure anger or terror, and there were documented cases of even trained wizards losing a little control and putting more power in a spell, or performing one that they wouldn't normally know.
"SHUT UP! SILENCIO! SILENCIO! SILENCIO!" Alex shouted, aiming directly at the man's throat as jets of light hit him.

teddy could tell that the things the death eater had said about his family were getting to alex. he looked confused, but teddy would have too if he had grown up not knowing who his father was. it was like having a bomb dropped on you, one day you are completely fine and the next you find out your father was a death eater. but teddy knew that just because someone had bad family, didn't mean a person was bad. after all, his grandmother had been the sister of bellatrix black, the most evil woman the wizarding world had ever known. but andromedia was a sweet woman, and she had left her family, their fortune and everything she grew up with to marry ted tonks, a muggleborn wizard. plus, alex hadn't even known that his father had been evil. so teddy's opinion on the other young man didn't change one bit. "don't listen to him alex." teddy said, and his comment earned a creepy smile from the death eater. "your friend is the son of someone like me lupin. they always come running back to their parents one day. he'll join our side. i guarentee it."
they were in serious trouble. the rumors that lord voldemort was back were true, and they had no idea who he was. he could be a student, an adult. he could be in diguise as a ministry employee, or he could be right under their noses at hogwarts. and he knew about the paper angels, which probably meant that he knew victoire was the leader. victoire was in trouble. if anything happened to victoire, he would never forgive himself. "where is he? who is he!?" he yelled at the death eater, holding his wand outwards.
but before the death eater had a chance to reply, alex hit him with a spell. the man's voice was gone. teddy glanced at alexander, who seemed to have lost control when he performed the spell. "are you alright?" he asked the ravenclaw, although his eyes were now trained on the door. why hadn't someone come to help them yet? where was everyone? surely the students could have gotten back to hogwarts by now to notify professors. or some of the customers could have run into other shops who could have called for help. if they notified the ministry, the aurors could have apparated there in a second. why weren't they here?
the death eater was even scarier without a voice. teddy didn't know what kind of terrible magic the man would be able to do voicelessly, but if he could do wordless magic, then they were in trouble. they wouldn't know what spell to use to defend themselves, because they wouldn't know what was being thrown at them. the death eater was grinned, and he had lowered his hands from the surrender. his wand was pointed outwards, straight at teddy. "ex-expelliarmus!" he yelled, wincing at his stutter. the man was a death eater. he loved fear.
with a swipe of his wand, the death eater blocked the spell. they had to get that wand out of the man's hand. and fast. the man raised his wand, sending a spell shooting at teddy. he tried to defend himself, practically screaming a basic protective spell. but the jet of blue light was too fast for him, and it hit him square in the chest. for a moment, nothing happened. and then he felt the searing in his eyes. it felt like his eyes had been set on fire. the world went bright, then black, then bright again. and teddy staggered. "alex! i can't see!" he tried to yell, but his voice came out strained, a person obviously in pain. was this going to make him blind?
[so basically, this is just so it can be mr death eater vs alex for a lil bit, til the spell on teddy wears off.] [/blockquote]

Teddy went down, yelling that he couldn't see. Alex wanted to help him, but he had no way of knowing what the curse the man had used was, let alone an effective counter curse. The man was a death eater. He wouldn't have to run for help, and it would leave the metamorphmagus alone with him and helpless.
The man shot the same curse towards Alex, who dodged as he was brought out of his stupor.
The solution was simple. He had to beat the Death Eater.
Simple. Merlin's hairy effin arse, was it simple.
There wasn't time to worry about a biological father that he could care less about. There wasn't any time to focus on Teddy. The man was throwing non-verbal spells like they were nothing, and it was all Alex could do to dodge.
When he got home, he was going to march up to his sensei and give him the biggest hug anyone had ever given him.
A slight pause from Death Waiter, and the trained martial instinct in Alex took over. He wasn't yet close enough for physical attacks, so his knife fighting and his taekwando strikes would be useless. However, if he could close the gap between them, he could easily get to a point where he could subdue the man.
Alex took advantage in the single three seconds the man stopped casting.
"Stupify! Petrificus Totalus! Stupify!", he shouted, unleashing a barrage of spells to cover him getting a bit closer. Now that the man was distracted with blocking himself...
"Teddy, are you alright? Expelliarmus!"

the pain was overpowering teddy's power to think. he knew he had to do something to help alex, but what help was he when he was pretty much blind? he couldn't throw any spells at the death eater, because he could possibly hit alex instead. and then they would both be down, and most likely dead. or worse. not to mention the fact that he couldn't think of any spells, not with the searing pain in his eyes. black then white. black then white. he was starting to get dizzy, and he couldn't see. "do not! let him hit you with this alex. it hurts" he wanted to scream. he wanted to cry. but he had to stay strong, because alex needed to focus on beating this guy. he couldn't be worried about teddy, alex needed to think. maybe he wasn't good at spells. but surely something he had learned in class would help him in the last six years. there had to be something that would beat this guy.
he could hear a fight going on, but he couldn't tell what the death eater was doing. alex was yelling spells over and over, simple ones. obviously they wouldn't do too much damage to the waiter, but they would keep him busy, blocking them. which gave them more time to figure out what spell would beat him. the pain in his eyes was lessening. maybe the spell was wearing off. he blinked, trying to bring back his vision. "i'm okay, i think it's wearing off. just keep going alex. you are doing great." he listened after hearing alex yell a disarming spell. but he didn't hear a wand hitting the floor. it hadn't worked.
teddy blinked once more, and suddenly, he could see. the death eater was blocking spells that alex threw at him, and alex was slowly getting closer to the man. but the spells paused for a moment, which gave the death eater time to undo the silencing spell casted on him. he would be able to talk again. which could be good for them, because maybe he would switch to verbal spells. those were much easier to defend. teddy stood, and went to stand next to alex, his wand outstretched. "seriously man. give up." he said, sending another disarming spell at the death eater. the man blocked it. why was he always blocking it?
"stupid kids! the man yelled, and he raised his wand at them both. "i'll teach you for meddling in my life!" he yelled, and another spell shot at them. he was still using nonverbal. but the moment that spell left the wand, teddy knew what it was. they had studied it in class, and he had heard story after story of what it looked like. bright green. this guy was playing for keeps. "GET DOWN!" teddy yelled at the ravenclaw, diving towards the floor, trying to yank the other boy down as well.
when was help going to come?

It seemed pausing to check on Teddy was a mistake, giving the man enough time to reverse the silencing charms Alex had cast.
Teddy was fine now, though, but they had bigger problems now. The Death eater cast a killing curse at them.
"OH SHI-" Alex hit the ground and rolled, pushing himself back up as the jet of green light flew by.
"COME ON, A KILLING CURSE? REALLY?!" Alex yelled, thinking about any spell that he could use to distract this guy. Spells that weren't often used...
"CALVORIO! (Hair loss curse) LOCOMOTOR MORTIS! EXPELLIARMUS! STUPIFY STUPIFY STUPIFY!"
Alex figured if he could distract the man from casting another killing curse by blasting him with spells, then so be it. He could rest when he was safe at home. Or dead. Whichever came first.
He didn't stop. He couldn't stop. This man was a killer, and he couldn't be left alone. The jet of green light had proved this. He continued bombarding him with spells, shouting them out like a mantra, and pushing forward.
"STUPIFY!"
He was close enough, and he lunged, tackling the death eater down and stabbing him in the shoulder with the knife.

teddy had thrown himself at the ground pretty hard, and he landed hard. his elbows were probably bleeding, and his arms ached. he couldn't believe this waiter was doing all of this because of a lost job as a waiter. seriously? and how had the man managed to secure a job here in the first place? people were very careful of who they hired, and one of the necessary precautions they took now was checking the arms of their applicants for signs of dark marks. people knew the death eaters were still around. they knew they were dangerous. so how had this guy gotten the job?
teddy got up slowly, shaking his arms. they hurt, a lot. but he hadn't been very helpful in this fight so far, and alex was already up and shouting spells at the death eater. the man looked like he was wearing out, as the first caught him offguard and he did not manage to block it. but the man blocked the others, ignoring the fact that his hair was falling out. why hadn't alex disarmed him first? then they would have had his wand. but alex had no way of knowing which spells would hit the man, so it wasn't his fault.
"ALEX YOU IDIOT! DON'T GO NEAR HIM!" he shouted, as he realized that alex was gaining on the man, getting closer to him with each spell that he threw. sure, he had that knife. but alex didn't seem like he was going to kill the man with it, which meant that the death eater could send a spell at the ravenclaw in the short range, if he missed with the knife. a spell that close could be fatal, even if it wasn't the killing curse.
teddy winced when he saw the knife go into the man's shoulder. but the death eater continued to struggle. he had followed voldemort, he must have experienced worse pain. like unforgivable curses. teddy shuddered at the thought of the green light flying over their heads. 'you think i haven't felt worse, kid?' the man hissed, trying to throw alex off of him. the death eater was trying to get alex's wand with the arm that hadn't been stabbed, while his wand hand hung limp at his side. teddy had to do something. but he couldn't use a spell, it could hit alex. he had to get alex out of the way. "levicorpus!" he shouted, pointing at alex. if the spell hit, the other young man would be flung into the air, and then the death eater would be fair game.

Alex glared angrily at the man, holding him down firmly. He had the advantage, and he had stabbed the man in a spot that would make the shoulder more or less useless until it was patched up. Alex was experience enough with holds, and the man wasn't much bigger than him so Alex had enough weight and power to get him down, though they were both struggling hard.
"What's....a...matter? Getting your ass kicked by some kids? I bet that's not a real fucking Dark Mark. No way Voldemort would use you for anything more than a meat puppet. Seriously. All this...shit...for a fucking job as a waiter...you're going to Azkaban for life for that Killing...Curse...STOP STRUGGLING, DAMMIT!"
All of a sudden, Alex heard "Levicorpus" and tensed himself to be upside down, letting go of the Death Eater and finding himself upside down in the air. Trying to fight off the sense of vertigo, he closed his eyes and shot off another stunner at the man's general direction, rather sure it would hit him.

teddy breathed a sigh of relief when his spell hit alex. there was no way that he was going to let alex get himself killed for something that was his fault. now, alex could just hang peacefully in the air by his ankle until teddy finished off this damn guy and then they could get out of there. get help or aurors or something. someone who would take this ex-waiter where he belonged, askaban. "sorry about that alex, had to be done." he said, strolling past where alex was hanging in the air and standing over the waiter, who had been stunned by the upside down ravenclaw.
teddy was so close to the man that his outstretched wantd was almost touching the man's cheek. he kicked the man's shoulder, the one alex had stuck a knife in. the man winced, and while he was distracted, teddy knew it was finally time to get rid of the wand. "expelliarmus" he said, a strange calm tone in his voice, despite the fact that he was standing over a death eater. the wand went flying, skidding across the floor and under the booth that he and alex had been sitting in. teddy's cold butterbeer was spilled all over the table and dripping on the floor. "now, you are going to answer a few questions for me. and if you don't comply, then i'll remind you that i am the one with the wand."
he turned away from the man for a moment, letting alex down from his spell. "once again, sorry about that." he said to alex, turning back to the man on the floor. "now, who is voldemort? what name is he going by now?" the death eater spat in his face. teddy flicked his wand, and the man was hoisted in the air by his ankle, the same spell he had just used on alex. but he didn't hang there long, the counter spell was said right after he was in the air, and the man went crashing down. it certainly looked like that shoulder was beginning to hurt. "who is he?" the death eater opened his mouth to answer.
and the door of the three broomsticks opened, revealing the first waiter, and three or four aurors. teddy stepped back from the man and cursed under his breath. they couldn't tell the ministry that voldemort was back, the paper angels would get in serious trouble. so he stepped aside and watched as they rushed in, his godfather among them. "you okay, teddy?" harry asked, and teddy nodded. he was pissed. the help couldn't have come when they had green light flashing above their heads, but once they had won, then they arrived? what shitty luck.
