PAIN IS WEAKNESS LEAVING THE BODY. Makenna scratched her eyes and stretched her arms over her head as she awoke this morning. Her dream was a weird one as it usually was; It started out the same as usual, she was a child and her parents where either having or at one of the balls she could remember from when she was young. Of course all of the Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle children where their as well, dancing about. She wonders outside where there is something she can not explain out with her, and right when she is about to revile it, she wakes up. She shakes her head as she picks out all of the eye crusties from the corners of her eyes. It wasn't too late; she usually slept a lot later, till she was the only one left. She got dressed, brushed and ruffled her hair a bit as she walked out of the common room and dungeons and into the great hall to get some breakfast.
As she arrived she sat down at the table and looked around to see some familiar faces, she saw none so she kept quiet and filled her plate with various things from the table. She sat and stared at her food moving it around with her fork, she wasn't as hungry as she thought, but she ate because she knew if she didn't she would be hungry later. After a while she pushed her bangs back and got up from the table making her way back to the common room, hoping there would be someone there she could talk to. Not because she was lonely, but she needed to hear here voice, she almost forgot what it sounded like.
She wiped what was left of her toast off of her face as she entered the common room, there were a lot of people in there this morning. She lifted her eyebrows at all the people that looked at he as she walked in. Do i have something left on my face? she thought as she walked up and looked in her mirror. Nope. Nothing was there; must be because i look good today, she said smirking at herself in the mirror flipping her hair this way and that, turning from side to side. She shrugged her shoulders feeling satisfied and walked back to the common room sitting on a chair her head on one arm and her legs hanging of the end of the other. She looked to the ceiling and started thinking of whatever struck her fancy.

Mornings. The worst time of day. It meant waking up, getting dressed, and doing things early. This didn't make Scorpius a happy person, because he was a night owl and a procrastinator. He hated completing things early and such. But - he was awake due to the fact that the sunlight refused to stop blinding him in his sleep. Sitting up whilst grumbling, Scorpius cursed the sun under his breath. About half of the boys from his dorm were gone - probably to breakfast and the other half was either dozing or still trying to wake up. Not much sound could be heard, minus the shuffling of feet for those who were getting dressed. Scooting out of his own bed, Scorp found himself too lazy to get dressed. Classes would start soon, he was sure, but he honestly didn't care. If they wanted to kick him out of class for wanting to be comfortable, then let them. He honestly didn't care at all.
Which was why he let his ruffled hair continue to be in disarray and he moved to his bedside table. On it was a hot cup of coffee with three sugars and a bit of cream. Every night, he would cast a spell to have coffee automatically ready for whenever he awoke. He needed it, he lived on it. Coffee was far more than an addiction, it was a way of surviving each and every morning. So, he carried it with him while he left his dorm to chill out in the common room. He didn't care too much for a lot of the kids around, but his usual crew was probably busy-- until he spotted Makenna walking in. He even watched her play around her hair before lounging on the chair, laying back with her feet up -- horizontally. Scorpius couldn't help but smirk to himself; Makenna was quite the gal. Memories of the beginning of their friendship bloomed in his mind.
It had been waaaay back when, before he could even recall anything whatsoever. She was only a year older than he was, so it wasn't that much of a difference. She was a Goyle. A part of their epic gang. They had so much history that he couldn't help but hit on her. It was fun and he enjoyed teasing - as she did as well. Making his way toward her, he watched her become engrossed within her own little world. Standing over her, he looked down at her face, before leaning closer to where their skin almost touched. " Yo, 'Kenna, " he said before moving around and sitting on her stomach. Of course, he didn't put his entire weight on her body, but she was posing as a chair. So, why not? Turning to look at her, he chuckled softly. " What are you doing here all alone. Surely you must have something better to do. " It was true though - he was almost positive that she could've found something much more fun than being bored here.

Makenna had heard kids walking around, but she paid no attention to them; the only people she would really bother with were her crew. She was deep in thought about whether people found the Crabbe girls cuter than her or not; she had the advantage of being older so that was a plus, She settled on the thought that they were equally beautiful but her just a little more. She of course liked to win, and though they were friends she had to beat them too. She smirked at her thoughts and her nose perked up with the smell of coffee, she could smell it a mile away, not only did she love coffee but she new that if she smelled it her dear friend Scorpius would not be far behind. She couldn't help but think of him often, he was charming, though his age set her off. He was fun to mess around with..maybe in more ways then one. Their friendship has been the same since she could remember, him hitting on her and such things, of course she did the same back i mean come on flirting is a game and Makenna would not pass up the chance to win a at game. Thats how she took boys, a big game at trying to win them over, though it may sound crazy, it has always been that way for her. And of course Scorpius just made it so much more fun for her.
She smirked again thinking of all these things when she heard her name, she of course new who it was at once. She almost jumped, but with him being so close it sent goosebumps down her skin. "Yo yourself" she said to him as he sat on her. She was a pretty tough girl, he could have sat all the way down but all the same it made her laugh. He was right of course, she had loads of better stuff to do than sit here. "Well i figured I better stay and make sure you had a proper seat this morning." she said as she slid out from under him. Looking at him always reminded her of the old days, he has come a long way, the whole crew has. She ruffled her hair again, usually her hair lay in a sort of beach waves look, sometimes it was straight, but it was almost never up. Today it was a nice flow of beach waves look. She looked back at him, "But seriously I was waiting for your lazy self to get up, thanks for taking your time" she said jokingly, whether that statement was the truth or not she did not know but it sounded like a better excuse than just sitting there, which was so unlike her.

It truly wasn't like her to sit around, all lonesome and whatnot. She was usually off flirting or gallivanting all over the school. Of which, he didn't mind when he ran into her. There seemed to always be a spark. A familiar and noticeable chemistry that was between them- what with their nonstop flirting. They each flirted with whomever they wanted. It was a game to both of them. It's what made them quite a alike, in a few aspects. But, he found that she cared about her looks far too much that he couldn't quite comprehend it. Anyhow, she responded and his lips tilted upward. Makenna. Makenna. The past sixteen years, for him, have always included her, her brother, and the Crabbe kids. And he wouldn't trade that for the world, as odd as that sounded. They had quite the unique and bonding friendship- one he loved, truly. And he loved each of them, individually. But they worked best together. Each and every one of them. The mysterious sevensome known as Fallen Eyes. It referenced that they were wise.. while also being interpreted as fallen angels. They had never been angels, but they were as the fallen. Dark, cruel, and had fun being that way. He enjoyed every minute of it - as most of them did.
" Well. You make quite the seat. I'd much prefer to sit on you than the floor, that's for sure. " He responded, laughing internally. But then she moved and he was sitting beside her in the chair; quite close. Scorpius didn't have a problem with that. He actually brought his arm around and draped it over her should suggestively, smirking as eyes watched them, trying not to be too obvious that they were watching. People tended to do that to them. Stared. He was sure plenty of whispered rumours about them had been spread around. Scorp didn't mind because he knew the truth, along with the rest of them. No one needed to know their secrets, so why try to start different rumours? Gossip annoyed him, yes, but he didn't let it bother him if others continued to speak about him. There were worse things in life, he was completely sure. " My bad. I'm not sorry, though. I finally got to sleep two hours ago. So you can shove it, missy. " Scorpius brought his coffee to his lips to take a long sip of the delicious drug. It did wonders for his attention and amount of awakeness. He truly needed coffee in order to survive in life. Otherwise, he'd be a useless mop that couldn't be used for anyone. " And, why were you waiting for moi? " He asked, suddenly curious as to what she waited for. This was a bit unlike her, because she'd just wait until she ran into him. She had him intrigued.

She smirked looking at him, he was a dork, always had been and always will be. She pondered his question, she had been feeling off all day and it was starting to freak her out. " I'm not sure, I have been feeling off all day, I need a little dose of mean in me" She said as she pushed her bangs out of her face. Indeed Makenna was not usually found by herself, yet she felt perfectly normal being by herself. Usually she had to have someone with her so she would look and feel more threatening. Even by herself people felt intimated by her, which made her feel good all the same. " Wanna help me out with that?" She asked him laughing slightly at how weird she sounded. Makenna asking for help? What was going on with her? No matter how much she needed help she almost never asked for it, she must have forgotten some things .
She looked at him again; he still looked like a kid in her eyes, they all did. She didn't want to think of what was going to happen after she left school, what would she do with herself? She could not and would not sit around, she needed to find herself a man. That would be very hard to do at school, what with all the riffraff that attended Hogwarts. Although she loved Scorp, it wasn't like she really thought anything would ever happen. He was a lady's man, player, any other name associated with that. Makenna was cruel and mean in nature but when it came to things like that she had a softer side, and she new she couldn't deal with that especially with how jealous she got with just about everything.

Makenna often made Scorpius quite curious, because her behavior could seem rather erratic - almost as if she had been splashed with a bit of bipolar disease. Everything about her was odd, but there were some things he liked about her. He had to, really. He had learned to love her, y'know? Enough that he was sure they had something going on. Not that he minded, of course. It passed the time. She'd been feeling off today? This merely added to his curiosity, because she was feeling off. Usually, she was so sure of herself that she didn't need a 'dose' of herself. This made him laugh a bit as he looked away from her. How was he supposed to help her with.. herself? It confused him, really. But, he shrugged nonetheless. " Feeling off? My, my. Did something happen? Or are you simply bored? Boredom can do that to a person - or so I've heard. " Scorpius stated simply. Sure, they'd known each other for what seemed like forever, but how in hell did he fit into the picture of helping? He wasn't a very helpful person, because he was unoriginal and would much rather stare at a blank wall than do something to boost spirits up. Unless, he was bringing someone down - ruining their day even. Now that was what made him happy and in a fantastic mood enough to survive the day.
" You want my help? Good lord, 'Kenna. You are off today. You know how helpful I can be. " Another type of grin slid over his mouth, gripping his lips and teeth into something cruel. Ah, yes. His own and favourite grin. Was it wrong that he had favourite expressions that would show on his face? Yes. He would stand in front of the mirrors for hours, practicing different types of facial positions. So he knew which ones he liked and which ones he should never use. " Hm. I suppose I could help. But, how would you like me to help? " Gulping down a bit more coffee, he was wondering if she actually had anything in mind, or if she was expecting him to come up with something. His mind was blank at the moment, so he honestly wouldn't be able to bring anything to the table for her. Today wasn't a good day for him, unfortunately. He woke up - he had coffee - but there was something already weird about the day that he refused to look into. Sure, he could acknowledge it all day and night, but he didn't wish to think about it. Scorpius licked his lips then and looked back at Makenna, his grey eyes surveying her as they usually did. And she was looking at him. Probably thinking about what she wanted to do - or whatever it was she normally had on her mind.
