Being away from Hogwarts tend to make Patrick upset. He would miss his old friends, the smell of the castle, how the light shines through the windows and the teacher, caring for there students. Patrick knew it was time to make new friends, bond with other students other than his Ravenclaws. A book called Qudditch's top tips on the field also with some info on players from the past. Patrick would always laugh when he saw Harry Potter and how on his first year, he caught the snitch in his mouth.
Students would come and go, laughing, talking among themselves, how Patrick would enjoy the company of someone. Each time someone walked by he hoped that they would sit down and chat with him, getting to know Patrick. Thinking about it he felt like a loser, he might as well go out and fly around on his broom. The feel of the wind in his hair, fresh air filling up in his nose with a smile on his face. Patrick stopped and put his book down to look outside to glare at the day light, that feeling of flying around was building up.
Patrick snapped out of his day dream and went back to reading his book, quidditch practices could be anytime soon so he needed to learn as much as he could. He can't screw up in a match, Patrick would tend to get nervous going out in the field knowing that so many people are cheering them on, 'Patrick you will be fine when you get into it again, just focus on the other team' Patrick thought to himself as he looked outside again.

-- jasmine was walking around the school, feeling rather lonely. she wanted to spend time with her friends, but they all seemed to be busy today. she didn't really feel like going into hogsmeade today either. she grew up there and usually only went with friends. maybe she should visit her parents though, they always said how they missed her and wished they saw her more. jasmine was busy though with schoolwork, and trying to figure out what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. she couldn't believe this was her last year at hogwarts. it had all gone by so fast.
-- she finally decided on a trip to the great hall. maybe there was someone there she could talk to for a bit, until she stopped procrastinating and decided to study and start on her school work. it was a horrible quirk of hers, but she had always been a procrastinator. her parents had stopped nagging on her, and just cared about her marks, which we always good. jazz hummed quietly to herself as she walked through the corridors, making her way from the hufflepuff common room in the dungeon. the common room was the furthest thing from a dungeon though.
-- it didn't take her all that long, and she entered through the large doors into the great hall. there weren't that many students in the large hall, but there was one boy sitting alone. she recognized him from a couple of her classes, and he was a fellow prefect, jasmine tried very hard to think of his name. patrick carter. that is what his name was. they had never really talked, but now seemed as good of time as any. she walked up the other side of the ravenclaw table, not really caring it wasn't her own house's table. the only time it mattered was when everyone was in here. "hello patrick." jasmine said happily, offering a warm smile to the boy.

Daydreaming, Patrick was out of it, but when the girl, who had sat down in front of him, said hello, it brought him out of his trance. It shocked him, but then he eased up when he looked at her. She was beautiful and knew he had to say something to her. "Hi. . . " Patrick knew he saw her before but where. Patrick tends to ignore the rest of the world by being in his own sometimes. "Your Jasmine's aren't" said Patrick unsure weather it was her or not, "sorry I took so long to reply when you called my name, when I am on my own I tend to daydream".
"Please sit with me" Patrick said pointing his hand to the bench. This looked like it was going to be a very good day, he can now drain out the noise of the students voices while he talks to Jasmine. Patrick just stared at Jasmine for a bit then gave off a shy smile, "sorry I haven't took notice of you before, I am the same to everyone. I get too relaxed over the summer". When Patrick talked to someone he would notice every little thing on a person, from top to bottom, "I see your in Hufflepuff and a prefect".
"I have to say that I am happy to be in Ravenclaw, my first years are chilled out but tend to get in trouble every now and then, what about you" Patrick said moving eyes up to look at her's, those blue eyes that made him blush so easily. 'She must have a boyfriend or a fling, there is no way she is single' Patrick thought to himself while he waited for her to say something.

-- jasmine saw that she had startled patrick, and she felt kind of bad. maybe he was having a really pleasant day dream and she had just ruined it. she knew that she hated being woken up while she was having a good dream. she nodded, grinning. "i sure am." it made her feel a little less weird when he recognized her as well. it was always awkward when you knew someone, but they didn't remember you at all. it happened to her occasionally, but she didn't really mind.
-- "thanks!" she said happily, taking the seat across from him. jasmine took a quick look over the boy sitting across from her. he was very handsome; black hair and gorgeous eyes. she would bet that he was a very good kisser. "it's fine. i'm quite the same, only i get too nervous during the beginning of the year and tend to keep to myself." jasmine admitted, chuckling. she was just know catching up with all her friends. of course they had written letters during the summer, but as far as having a good catching up chat, she hadn't. jasmine always got this way though; she always stressed about her classes and just about everything.
-- she nodded happily. "and you're a ravenclaw prefect." that's how she noticed him from the beginning. "they're wonderful. a few of them remind me of how i used to be as a first year." jasmine giggled. she tried her best to help them and be there for them. they did have a lot of questions, and they all needed help with directions and getting to classes on time. jasmine thought they were very cute. "sometimes they get discouraged when other people make fun of hufflepuff's, but other than that they're all very happy and excited to finally be at hogwart's." she never stopped getting excited about coming back, it was just something that never stopped happening. it was like getting excited about christmas; no matter how old you were, it was always magical (no pun intended) and exciting.

Even Jasmine's voice was nice to hear. Patrick could see she would also daydream too, he closed his book and stared at Jasmine with a gentle face showing a smile. The light that was coming from the windows became dull and you could see clouds covering the sun so slowly. Patrick sometimes hated when that happened because it meant something bad was going to happen, but he knew nothing would happen. His eyes gazed over to Jasmine's again.
"So Jasmine do you play qudditched, I am just into so much because I need to train. What about classes, you a master in any of them, don't ask if I am. I am good with my wand and I can hold my own in a fight but I suck in those classes. How was your summer" said Patrick as he began to blush a little, he needed to stop asking so many questions. "I do apologize for asking you so many questions, I just get nervous around cute girls and when I do I blabber".
the sun lit up the hall once again giving Patrick that warm feeling. When he looked up at the window he noticed the ceiling and how magical it looked when it changed. Being at Hogwarts for seven years and it still looks cool and amazing, being a wizard was the most exciting to Patrick, living in the countryside with no one around for mile but his family at home. It tends to get boring time from time. Patrick can fly outside around the house and cast spells but then again that has it limits unlike Hogwarts were you don't know what is going to happen. Battle against other houses, find new creatures in the forbidden forest or you could find something secret in the castle.
Jasmine could make Patrick's final years at Hogwarts amazing or tragic, maybe he finds new friends, who knows. Patrick tries to live in the moment when he can, right now he has Jasmine in front of him. "Jasmine I am happy you came to sit and talk to me"

-- jasmine couldn't help but smile back at patrick. his smile just seemed to do that, just light up the entire room. she was sure she could look at him smiling all day. it wasn't very often you met someone whose smile was this contagious! jasmine loved it! his eyes wandered about the room, and she wanted to know what he was looking at, what he was thinking. he looked to be the type of boy who was adventurous and always looking at his surrounding, just observing. there was just something about him that jasmine knew she liked. she had always been a pretty good judge of character.
-- she shook her head, and her brown wavy locks fluttered back and forth. "nope. but i like watching it, even if it does make me nervous!" jasmine let out a tinkling little laugh. she had a couple friends that played, but she would never ever dream of playing herself. during the matches she could often be seen covering her eyes. it was just a dangerous sport, and she didn't want anyone to get hurt...even the slytherins. she pondered his next questions. "i'm not really a master, but i'm pretty good at a couple i guess." she added a shrug. could she count herself as a master or even exceptionally good at any of them? sure she got high marks, but that was just from studying the material over and over. it kind of worried her what she would do in the real world, when she didn't have a textbook or material to cover and study.
-- jasmine had never been faced with an opportunity to use important or high level magic outside of school, not that it was allowed anyway. "don't apologize! it's quite alright. now tell me about you. what position are you in quidditch, and what is your favorite class." she asked back. if there was anything jasmine liked more than answering questions, it was asking them. she loved to find out little tid bits about other people. a slight pink blush spread across her cheeks. he though she was cute? well, it made her stomach do a little flip. boys hardly paid her many complements. jasmine had never though of herself as ugly, but it was still nice to hear a boy tell her she was pretty. and it was cute the way he blushed, too. "i'm very glad i decided to talk to you as well." and her smile showed it as well.

"So I don't get Jasmine, you are single, and you don't seem to be a popular girl yet you so beautiful it is hard to look away, I don't mean to be rude or forward" Patrick didn't understand what was going on or what he was saying but he knew it was the right thing to say. "I do mean to be forward, you are beautiful that you have a weird effect on me even though we have just met" all Patrick could do was smile a little looking into her eyes. "I hate those muggle romantic films about true love and love and first sight. To me it just seems unreal".
His heart was beating so fast and his brain was kicking itself telling Patrick to shut up, redness filled up his face. "I-I am so sorry for what I said I got to go" Patrick go up and walked towards the doors of the great hall, all he wanted to do right now was to get out of the castle and be alone or not see Jasmine for awhile. Why did he say those things to her, what made him do it, did Jasmine cast a spell on him or did he drink something. When Patrick reached the doors he wanted to badly look at Jasmine but he knew if he did his heart would race up again so he walked out of the great hall to head out side.
'What was I think, why' Patrick thought to himself putting his hands in his pockets, 'I never move that quickly on a girl ever, someone please kill me'. Patrick could see a grassy hill so he walked over to it, laid down and covered his eyes with his legs.
