Mace stared blankly at the healer, tuning out her rambles about when he should be taking his potion, the proper amount and other silly things he already knew all about. She did this every time he came for a refill, she clearly thought he was using it incorrectly since he ran out so fast, but he was not an idiot, he knew how to take a simple potion. The reason he ran out was because he got a migraine just about every other day, he blamed the annoyingly obnoxious students in this school. Dealing with such incompetent people daily was sure to cause such reactions from anyone, this was probably why he could never find a decent person in this school, they were all smart enough to avoid attending Hogwarts and opted for more high class wizarding schools. He truly hated his parents for wanting him at Hogwarts, it was only because they had attended here and knew his classmates parents. He had known some of the other Slytherins as a child at social events, he avoided them constantly even back then, he had known he was better than all of them.
Once the idiotic healer was done lecturing him, he turned without another word, vile in hand, and walked out into the corridor. He could feel a migraine coming on from her ridiculous lecture, next time he should probably inform her that she caused half of his head pains. The other half were all the students, especially the Slytherins. One might assume they would bother him less, that he would have more in common with them, but the truth was he didn’t and he was stuck spending even more time with them than any other students in the school. This resulted in their annoyance being more often, he could escape from other students, but Slytherins were always in the common room and he shared a dorm with the males. The frustrations never ended, despite how hard he tried to avoid all the slow and crazy people he shared his commons and dorm with.
Tucking the vile away into his pocket, Mason began to make his way down the corridor, planning on trying to find somewhere secluded, which seemed to continuously become harder. It seemed like this year everyone was discovery his places of solitude, filling it with their ignorant and unintelligent conversations. He was certain he truly hated every person in this school, with a sincere passion. Glancing up and down the corridor, Mace didn’t see anyone within sight, so he paused to take a seat on an empty bench, one of his hands reaching up to massage his temple. He was not one to ever show weakness, most Slytherins weren’t, but he couldn’t help the sharp pains coming on in his head at the moment. Taking out the vile, he took a sip, making sure to make it small, it didn’t take much of this potion to rid him of his terrible headaches. As he tucked it away again, he leaned forward to rest his elbows on his thighs, his head buried into his hands, waiting for the potion to take effect.

Makenna was not acting like herself today; she waited around in the common room for Scorpious by herself. Makenna waiting around? Not to mention on her own NEVER happened. And now she was going to be by herself all day; her friends were worried something was wrong with her. She was wondering the same question herself, she had felt a little bit off today, although everyone needs their space and alone time. She figured she just needed a day break from them even though she has never needed one before in all her life. They were of course always pushed together, the Crabbe and Malfoy kids where her whole life, especially her little brother. She shook her head, why were such loving thoughts coming to her brain? I must be sick she thought to herself. She pushed herself off of her bed and rushed down to the hospital wing. She new there was physically nothing wrong with her, but it gave her something to do as well. Anything was better than sitting on her bed thinking about things that were not meant to be in her pretty little head.
She got to the hospital wing and sat down on the floor with her legs straight out and waited while the lady, she could never remember her name, waited on someone else. She waiting for at least ten minutes before getting angry, Makenna was not known for her patience "Hello lady?! I need some assistance now!" She said standing up. The women made some smart remark and Makenna laughed in her face, "Never mind I feel much better now." she said and walked out; that little bit made her feel back to normal and she was very glad for that. She smiled as she sat down at what she thought was an empty bench but she sat on some sort of body part, for whatever reason it was she got very upset about this, " Do you really feel the need to take up the whole freaking bench? I mean your not the only person who wants to sit!" She said as she got up and looked at the boy. She laughed as she saw who it was, everyone new who Mason was. Probably one of the most rudest, self centered people in the school; he acted more spoiled than she did and that was saying something. All the while she found him very interesting.

After a few minutes, Mace maneuvered so he was laying with his back on the bench, his head at one end and his feet at the other. It was as if anyone was around anyway, plus he needed to lie down more than anyone else needed to sit. It would make sense for anyone else to take up a bed in the hospital wing, but he couldn’t stand another minute in that disgusting room with that terrible healer. He though that profession involved intelligence, apparently not in her case. Closing his eyes, Mason put his arms underneath his head, facing toward the ceiling, letting his headache ease away from the help of his potion. He had toyed with the idea of just making it himself, but his father would likely kill him if he got expelled from school over a simple potion. So, he suffered through the healer who didn’t even deserve such a title.
Mace opened his eyes as someone sat on his legs, sitting up the tiniest bit to look at the girl, annoyance spread across it. He recognized her at once, Makenna Goyle, a terrible annoyance from his own house. Frustrated as she began to yell, holding back a wince from the sharp pain the noise caused in his head. ”I was under the impression that these benches were free to all,” his voice was lacking emotion, dull and monotone, as if he were bored with the conversation already. “I think I’ll stay just like this,” he added, just to get on the girls nerves, they had never gotten along and he found amusement in bothering the girl. She had insisted on annoying him first anyway, especially when his head was hurting, he was far from in the mood to be bothered by her.
Closing his eyes once again, Mason continued on in his relaxing stance, hands behind his head and body stretched out on the bench. Makenna was a spoiled nuisance, she believed she was entitled to everything just because he father chose to hand her everything. He was certain she had never worked for anything in her life, which lead for a dull and lazy person in his opinion. While Mace believed his better than everyone else in this school, he had never been handed whatever he wanted, he worked for everything he got. Which was part of the reason why he found himself entitled to it all, because he actually worked for things, others didn’t deserve them just because they bitched and moaned and threatened to call their parents.
Makenna may be a Slytherin, but she just as bad as all those silly naïve students from other houses, in some ways she was worse to him. Atleast some of them knew sacrifice and hard work, most of the Slytherins were spoiled rotten with personalities to match. No one was worth his time, no one matched his hard work and intelligence. Feeling that she was still standing there, Mace peaked one eye open to look up at her. ”Shouldn’t you be off with Malfoy or one of those Crabbe’s?” he asked, raising an eyebrow before closing his eyes once again, if it weren’t for her he might actually be able to take a nap here.

She rolled her eyes at his comment, "Yes that may be, but if you are laying around you have this thing called a bed, I mean i know that your not the brightest bulb at the store but I at least figured you new that." she shook her head. For some unknown reason he got under her skin and made her want to attack him; but she was a lady and he would probably kill her if she tried anyway. "Mhm, mhm you do that peach." She figured calling any sort of cutesy pet name would annoy him and anything that annoyed Mason made Makenna happy. Although Makenna like to mess around with people, she got offended easily, and although it was fun to mess with Mason, He was truly cruel and she can remember some of her comments making her cry. She would never let anyone but Scorpious or the Crabbes see her cry, and even then she tried to hide it. She sometimes may seem strong but the truth is she is a sensitive soul, just an expert at hiding things.
She glared at him slightly, the memories of his words coming back. "Yes well I would be but i was feeling a bit off...I mean I was just going to them." She didn't want him to know something was wrong with her, he didn't care anyways she was sure. Makenna had a hard time shutting up when she was supposed to which got her in trouble a lot. not that she gave a flying pa-toot. She pushed her bangs back and folded her arms as she stared at the ground; she new he wanted her to leave but why would she give him that satisfaction? "Why are you lying here anyway?" she asked, even though she figured he would just blow her off anyways. He seemed to think he was better than everyone else, but he had a lot to learn in life if he thought this.

Mace knew laying here and ignoring her would effectively tick the girl off, despite his headache his goal to annoy her was more important, he would deal with the pain if she chose to get loud or annoying. When she called him peach, he raised an eyebrow, peeking his eyes open a light bit to stare up at her. “I’m far from peachy,” he pointed out, he was the complete and total opposite of anything related to being peachy, so the nickname peach was far from accurate. Of course he figured she was just being annoying, while the nickname definitely fell into the annoying category, he was rather good at turning things around to make the other person mad. Usually, his lack of response to anything was enough to piss people off even more, because he always just had his bored look and tone to his face. Mason wasn’t sure if he could even show facial expressions anymore, he hadn’t in such a long time, he was always stoic.
When she admitted to feeling ‘off’ as she put it, he found it rather interesting, that should was admit to having even the slightest bit wrong with her today. Most Slytherin’s guarded their feelings and opinions well, because you never knew who would turn on you with this bunch, everyone only thinking and worrying of themselves. Personally, Mace thought it was smart of them, when you opened up or worried about others, you jeopardized yourself. He’d heard stories of the last war, of people jumping in front of curses for other people, something he couldn’t fathom doing. He had never cared for another person, he learned not to very early in his life. As a child you make friends and trust so easily, when your parents use harsh ways to teach you lessons, you learn rather fast. Mason hated his parents, and he didn’t find anyone else worth risking his own precious life over.
At her question, Mace toyed with the idea of what sort of answer to give. Letting the silence grow for several minutes before finally answer. ”I had business with the healer, who has got to be the most incompetent woman I have ever meant,” he explained, being rather honest, or atleast that was honest in his standards. He hadn’t lied at all, but of course he left it vague, no way was he letting it out that he had unbearable migraines, it was a weakness, you didn’t share your weakness’ unless you wanted to get hurt.

She snorted slightly, just hearing him say the word peachy was amusing to her. She put her hands on her hips and walked closer to him, not only did he seem to be in pain but he seemed extra annoyed by her today. This gave her motivation to try to get him to crack, though she new that would never happen in a million years it gave her something to do. She paced back and forth in front of him chuckling every so often, this probably made her look mad. She was picturing him cursing himself for being such a rude and self centered twit. But then she figured he would never admit that to himself no matter how alone he felt. She started pulling on her fingers as she paced, something about his emotionless face made her want to shake him and scratch him and everything else that would hurt in any kind of way. She sighed slowly and sat down against the closest spot to him. "Oh so you have a lot in common with her then? she giggled slightly,"Unfortunately though I must agree with you on that comment."She said it before she even realized what she was saying, she shook her head. What was wrong with her today? How could she have just agreed with this rat. This would surely just make him think even more of himself not to mention the fact that she felt stupid. Even if she had agreed with him why would she tell him that, she wouldn't. This day was going into the toilet. She cleared her throat just guessing at what he was thinking of her comment. Of course knowing him he would not even show the slightest bit of anything to what she just said, which of course annoyed him even more. She could not understand how another human being, if you could even call him that, could annoy her so greatly. No one else made her this upset, not even a Gryffindor.

Mace watched her curiously as she seemed to pace in front of him, raising an eyebrow slightly at her random chuckles, finding her more odd than usual. He ignored her comment about him having anything in common with that ridiculous healer, focusing more on her comment of agreeing with him. ”That is the most intelligent thing I’ve heard from you,” he pointed out, slightly amused as he looked at her now sitting next to him. While she constantly annoyed Mason, he sometimes had confusing feelings about being around her, sometimes messing with her could be amusing
His ability to annoy her amazed even him, she truly seemed to be frustrated with him 90% of the time. Mason didn’t go out of his way to annoy people, if others were to start something with him he wouldn’t just let them though, such as she had. Regardless, there were times where he started it with her, she was a source of amusement for him, although today she was just aiding his head pains. ”Since you seem to be making smart decisions for once, your next one should be to leave,” he attempted, it was a weak effort, but it was hard to think with your head bounding the way his was. Why did everyone have to be so odd, loud or obnoxious, truthfully there were barely any worth while people around, it was tiring for him to put up with everyone.
While most people would find Mason to come off as spoiled, he was not spoiled at all in his life. He just held himself to a high standard and expected all others to meet it.

She laughed slightly at the boys comment. Of course she was more intelligent than he thought, at least for a brief moment he had recognized it."Yes well it is probably hard to notice these things when your busy hating everyone and being a complete douche bag." she said nodding. She scratched her head and then started to braid the bottom of her hair as she sat next to him again. She could annoy him all day and not ever get tired of it, he just made i so much fun for her. When he ignored her it made her want to annoy him more; she was not sure if this was because she wanted his attention or just because she was bored. For some reason she felt like it was his attention, but she did not want to admit that even to herself. She smirked slightly and looked over at him loving the fact that this was happening.
She gasped, pretending to be taken aback."you want me to leave? Awe, I am truly hurt by this."She tried not to laugh as she said this."Although it is tempting, I would not want to miss a chance to make you mad." She figured that he would probably just get up and walk away, she could follow him but she did want to push him over the limit. Yet, she wanted to keep this going, it is not like she had any huge plans today anyways. She un braided her hair and sighed turning on her butt to face him smiling sweetly up at him. She tried her best to look angelic at this moment, it was pretty funny, but he probably wouldn't notice.

Mace watched her sit herself next to him, playing with her hair. He smirked, raising an eyebrow as he thought over her latest comment. ”I wouldn’t hate everyone if they weren’t unintelligent twits,” he pointed out, as if it were obvious that mostly everyone was rather ridiculous in this school. You would think someone in his house would appreciate his view of others, but sometimes he thought his house was worse, because most of them were pampered brats. ”Or spoiled brats,” he added, giving her a distinct look with that one. While he was cocky, he had not been spoiled as a child, he hated his parents with a deep passion, more than he hated the idiots of this school.
”Don’t flatter yourself, you hardly make me angry,” he said with a small shrug of his shoulder, watching her turn toward him, staring curiously at her innocent type of smile. That was rather humorous, the thought of Makenna Goyle being innocent in any form, he could not picture her being a ‘good girl’. ”But yes, you leaving would be nice, then again you probably have never done a nice act in your life,” he said thoughtfully, turning away from her, leaning his head back carefully on the stone wall behind them, wanting the pounding to fade completely. While he may be a big asshole, the few people who he found worth his time knew he could sometimes do unselfish acts, but one really had to earn his liking for that.

She shook her head at him, "Not everyone is horrible here, you just don't give anyone a chance because you think you look cooler if you hate everyone." He was so annoying, maybe if he took time out of his day to try to talk to someone instead of hating them right away he would be a bit more pleasant. She shook her head at her own thought he could never be anything near pleasant she said to herself. She sighed as she tried to figure him out, this lasted five seconds because she did not care nor have years to take on it. He was a rude git who would be alone forever probably, though he probably didn't care. He would care in the morning, or late at night she said to herself laughing, a disgusting thought yes but very true none the less.
She flicked her hand as an I don't really give a hoot answer. Her mouth opened at his next comment, she had of course done nice acts. Just because she was in Slytherin did not mean that she was heartless. Actually I am nice all the time, just not to you maybe. But you're not nice to anyone so I don't see the point in being nice to you.. Boy he new hoe to get under her skin, I mean seriously he was talking about someone never doing anything nice when he, evils son, was sitting in front of her. Besides, I don't think you should be going around telling people that they are not nice, that is pretty stupid.
She folded her arms on her chest, she could not understand why he got her so upset all the time. It was fun to mess with him yes, but he just took out the worst in her. It was probably all his rude comments about her, she hated the fact that someone did not like her, though she would never actually admit that to herself let alone anyone else. She felt like a little girl, she wanted to stamp her feet and make him listen to her, she laughed at this thought. She was being stupid, and silly, he was one person who was rude. No big deal, get over it.
