Gabrielle was mystefied at the way that the clouds seemed to form over the treetops. It was beautiful. Her eyes traced the lines of every branch, and the formation of the puffy cotton-like clouds. A smile formed on her lips, with her white teeth sparkling through as she searched for shapes in the clouds. Her mother wouldn't be very proud, but her mother was long gone, and she no longer had to worry about the burdens her mother carried. Heaving a sigh, she set her feet firmly on the bricks that carried her. She was on the astronomy tower, held up by magic and willpower. She was gazing down at the trees, and the mist-clouds that formed around them. Not actual clouds.
Gabby had been told many times that her personality was almost reminiscent of a woman's...the woman was just a girl back then, barely older then Gabby. Her name was Luna Lovegood... Mystifying, and cautious, she never let anyone get completely in her head, it would be disrupting her central peace; her core relaxation. She never seemed to stress....not even at the upcoming O.W.L's, or at the fact that she seemed to be the only fifth year in Hogwarts that didn't have a boyfriend clinging to her side. Not that that really bothered her, she'd rather be alone then have someone constantly at her side, whispering stuff in her ear.
"Got a secret, can you keep it? Swear this one you'll save....better lock it in your pocket, taking this to the grave...." She sung, quietly, dancing around on her toes. She felt her brown hair go red and her eyes turn blue, as she danced around. That was one of the coolest things about being a Metamorphagus, is that you can change every single feature on your body, but she never could really change her bone structure, it seemed as though that one was set in stone till the day she dies. Not that that bothered her much, she was thin, with curves, and perfect cheekbones. At least., that's what her father's second wife, stepmother one, said. She was a muggle, and a photographer, and had thought that Gabby would be a perfect model, and that's why there's so many pictures of her all over the house. She doesn't like them there, but she's too shy to tell her father.
She could speak French clearly, and she knew this. It's part of the reason she wants to be an Auror, because then if she gets dispatched out of the United Kingdom, she'll be far more set with figuring things out than many of the other Aurors.
"...If I show you then I know you wont tell what I said, 'cause two-" she paused, raising her right hand and pointing up two fingers, sliding it out away from her body, "can keep a secret if one-" she slid her arm back in, quickly dropping one finger, "of them is dead." That's the only part of the dance that she actually does. Stepmother number five was in love with muggle music and contraptions, and that's where she had first heard and fallen in love with this song. Luckily, she had a very clear and strong memory.
"Is it really too difficult to see the world in a light which no one wishes to see it in? Magic doesn't require wand-work and incantations. Nor potions or charms. All it requires is an imagination." She was quoting her mother. Her real mother. Through the madness that had eaten her alive, she had said that, clearly. On one of her better days as well. It was a quote that helped Gabby through difficult times, and it helped her to remember that she may not see the world as most people do. She saw it through Gabby-vision. And that was good enough for her.

Ace was running out of things to say and do. Life was getting more difficult by the moment, just because of his predicament. His problem? Well. Perhaps it was the fact he looked and sounded like a female. His entire body was that of a girl's and his voice was delightfully high. Ugh. What the hell had he gotten himself into? He didn't want to be a girl; being a guy was all he knew. But, of course, he had to be quite the idiot. Therefore - He was known as Gracelyn Seraphim Baddock, rather than Ace Sebastian Baddock. The two were "twins" - or, basically.. He was pretending to be his magically inept twin sister, Grace. And that's who he introduced himself as. He couldn't possibly admit to making a mistake quite as big as this one.. And even though he was a Ravenclaw student, he couldn't figure out how to reverse the spell. It was close to impossible. And, the headmaster didn't want to help him out, because he "needed to learn on his own." Wtf. This only pissed Ace off more, which was why he needed to get away from everything. He had just gotten out of a meeting with said headmaster, because he liked to check in monthly, or even weekly, for if he had any questions, etc. He would've expected the headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry to actually be helpful, but he undoubtedly stood corrected by how he wouldn't.
So, he found himself wandering the corridors, looking for someplace to hide for the day. Ace didn't really feel like being out in the open, feeling vulnerable. He rarely would show that side, unless he were to do his usual and trust too easily. Which was why he didn't want to run into anyone - he was afraid he'd spill everything about himself. Because he looked like a girl. So, he was Grace. Grace was sort like a character he had to play for a movie - he acted her out, said her lines, all of the good stuff. Hell, he'd found out that he was an epic actor - especially if he could pull this off. And, so, he finally decided on the Astronomy tower. Why not? He hadn't spent time up there in quite some time and he was sure that no one else would be inhabiting the area. Due to his change of course, he ended up turning around and circling back around a different way in order to take the long way. Surely there would be less people that.. and that proved to be correct. Which meant he was feeling rather lucky. He was almost positive that within ten minutes of speaking to him, anyone could tell. However, he had pulled it off this far - maybe he really could go the entire year. Of course, the most awkward part of it all was that he was now a Ravenclaw girl.. Which meant he slept in the girls dorm.. without the other girls knowing. But, Grace had already been caught checking other girls out..
And when she was hit on, Ace would semi-panic and avoid the guys. He really didn't want to be in the eye of guys, but.. would that mean he was a lesbian? Well - technically grace, right? It was rather confusing, even to him. But he was Grace. So that's who he slipped into now. Multiple personality disorder? Perhaps. And, he was so distracted by everything that he didn't even notice that there was a girl in the tower - where he had just entered. She had even been singing.. It was a girl that he knew, too, which only made things even worse. Gabrielle Beaumont. A Ravenclaw, two years below him. And certainly a gorgeous girl. He could remember casual conversation with her, spending time with her whenever they'd hang out. Somewhat of friends, but they hadn't been close or anything. Ace actually had the urge to run up to her and hug her or something.. He hadn't seen her quite a long time. But then he remember - he had to be Grace. How creeped out would Gabby be if she knew he'd accidentally transformed himself into a female? This only made him feel more like an idiot. And he had missed people that he used to semi-talk to.. People that didn't completely know him.. Perhaps.. Gracelyn could be her friend...? He decided to go for it.. " Oh. Um. Hello there.. I didn't mean to interrupt.. " His voice came out soft, sweet, and feminine.. As if truly a girl's. Glancing down, he didn't want to bother her.

Gabby jumped when she heard a girlish voice speak. She looked up and saw Ace's sister, Gracelyn (she didn't know her personally, just that she was here this year and Ace wasn't) standing up that looking shyly at the floor. Because Gabby knew Ace alright, she decided that being nice to Gracelyn would be a top priority to her this year. Sighing, she stood up and dusted herself off, careful to not show her shyness.
"Oh, it's fine, I'm Gabby, I hear you're Gracelyn, Ace's sister." She said, politely, kindly... Holding out her hand to shake it. She looked a lot like Ace did, really. Same cheekbones, and the same way they held themselves proudly. Gabby didn't know much about Ace either, they had just hung out once or twice in the school year last year. She figured that maybe she and Gracelyn could become friends, even if she was a few years ahead of her. It was quaint, actually. She didn't know how else to explain it.
"It's nice to meet you." Ace hadn't ever spoke of Gracelyn, but Gabby felt as though there was a reason not to. Gracelyn was cute, and small. Very girlish indeed, and it made her wonder why she had been so dormant in her years at Hogwarts. Of course, Gabby didn't exactly have room to speak, she wasn't very active in the Hogwarts Scene either. She looked to Gracelyn and smiled, trying hard to not be shy.
OOC: This ish a fail. if it isn't enough, I'll work on getting it longer for yew.(:
