The slytherin house common room was once again crowded, Brooke had finished all her homework, and was just sitting around, bored as hell. No one interesting was around, well not really anyway, she had no idea where her best friend had gone off to, and she was getting to the point of going to find her, but first she needed to get motivated. Her slim figure was spread out on the most comfortable leather couch the common room had to offer, and she knew she was taking up much needed sitting space but she truely did not care. 'Why can't people just go outside?' she wondered to herself. Do Slytherins really have nothing better to do than sit on their asses gossiping in the common room all day?

[/color]. Sighing she finally got up, and made her way for the entrance, she'd barely moved when the couch was quite quickly occupied. "Would you silly little first years rush that quickly for anything that was truly important?!" she growled to them, one of the girls shrunk back a bit, the other looked away while the other stared right at her, challenging her. "Furnunculus!" Brooke snarled, she couldn't hide the smirk as the girl started to break out in boils and she turned promptly on her heel and left, enjoying the sounds of the girls screams.

Brooke[/i][/size][/font] made her way outside, she had an idea of where she may find Danica, but she wouldn't know for sure unless she looked. making her way down to the black lake, she couldn't help but enjoy the feeling of the sun on the skin. It was nice weather out, and she fully intended to enjoy every moment of it that she could. As she walked through the court yard she saw a few familiar faces, she smiled at a few and she ignored the rest, she noticed a fifth year that she got along with in Slyherin, and gave him a small wave, but she didn't stop to talk, she was on a mission. How ever she was soon stopped by a Slytherin who had followed her from the Common Room, giving her a quick warning that the girl she had cursed had reported what she had done, and she shrugged it off, not really caring if she got into trouble and started walking again soon after.

As[/i][/size][/font] she got closer to the black lake, Brooke recognized her best friends blonde curls, and walked just a little faster to get to her. "Where have you been?" she asked as she got to Danica. "Common Room just isn't as much fun without you there... though I may be getting a detention now." she laughed. She took note of how her friend looked and frowned. "Alright Danica, what's wrong? You don't look too good." she asked, concern for her friend taking over everything else.

Danica had found herself outside near the black lake once more. It had only been a few days before whenever she had made her way there to meet with Phoenix, talk with him about the baby. She cursed herself about doing it now, because now she had no choice but to keep their child. She had no other options in which she would survive. Her life had been threatened, and she knew she wouldn’t lose her life for some babies. The last few days she had purposely avoided people as she regained her strength. Going through the Cruciatus Curse was not something you quickly recovered from, especially when you were left with an aching pain throughout your entire body for the first few hours afterwards. She hadn’t told anyone except for Phoenix about the baby, she hadn’t felt ready yet. She didn’t want to accept the truth. She had even avoided her best friend, and that was quite the odd thing for Danica to do.

She stood by the dark water’s edge, looking into the water as she thought. So far no one had disturbed her, which she found perfectly fine. She felt a trace of the confusion she was feeling show on her face. She knew she would have to tell her best friend and others soon enough. She didn’t care what they thought of her, well except for her best friend of course. But she wasn’t sure how to answer the questions that might come from it. She knew that it was common knowledge that she had slept around so covering the father would be easy enough, though she knew she would feel a bit guilty about lying to her friend like that but it had to be done.

Danica was surprised when she heard her best friends voice ring in her ears. She looked to her best friend, quickly covering the confused and worried look with her usual cold and unemotional one. Though she knew her friend had seen her feelings, and she wasn’t very happy about it either. When her friend asked where she had been she thought, avoiding you. She answered quickly so not to draw suspicion “Nowhere really just about.”. She lifted an eyebrow and allowed a smirk to form on her lips whenever her friend said the common room wasn’t as fun without her there. Finally when her friend asked what was wrong she frowned lightly. She knew this time would come soon enough she said “Oh nothing really I’m pregnant, how are you?”. She said collected and calmly like what she had just said was as normal as talking about the weather. One thing she could praise herself on was her control of her emotions. It was one thing she could praise herself on at least.
