With the rain that was sprinkling down on the grounds of Hogwarts, it was difficult to control where her broomstick went...really, it was the schools broomstick, barely able to kick off the ground anyway; let alone hold her weight up. But she was there, floating about twenty feet off the ground. Her senses were heightened up higher, and she was having fun floating around. She was pretty much the only one too, there was a person a bit farther away just flying around, but they were too far away for her to decide whether they were a boy or a girl. Not that that mattered much to Gabby, she could ignore them if they got too close, although it would send her into a near nervous breakdown.
You could say that Gabs was awkward on a broomstick. Or you could say that she was just a little uncoordinated. Gabby thought that she looked ridiculous, but she loved the feeling of being in the air on something that was normally used to sweep floors. Not only that, but with her lightweight body, she'd be a pretty good seeker. If only she had the coordination to do it. And the ability to not shy away in public crowds and ceremonies. Very few times does she actually show up to the Great Hall for the first dinner of the school year. She was so nervous, and even her first year she was scared to death and was rosy all over. People probably remembered her for that, but she had changed a lot over the years, except for she was still as thin now as she was then. Not that that was a huge deal either.
She slowly floated down to the ground, trying very hard not to tip the broomstick over; floating parallel to the ground didn't sound fun right about now. No, what sounded fun was getting off the broom and settling down to read her 'Hogwarts, A History' Book that she had on loan from the library. She was slowly getting down towards the ground, paying attention to a lovely rose bush that was planted off to the side, near the post that the teachers sat in. When all of a sudden, she bashed into somebody, knocking them over and knocking her off from the broom. She toppled over and glanced, seeing a boy laying down. She got insanely nervous quickly.
OOC: If you dun want her running into Patrick, sorreh! I can probably change that, I thought it was a good opener though...(:

Flying around the qudditch pitch made Patrick feel free, like nothing matter anymore, being on his broom always made things better for him. He could see other students sitting in the standings watching or reading, some girls in a group eyeing a couple of boys on there brooms from there house, the boys would show off as much as they could to impress them. That was something Patrick missed but loved, he was single so all he had to worry was school and himself and of course his mother. Not some girl, trying to impress her even though he has her.
A girl from the group noticed Patrick and when Patrick saw her he just flew away showing now emotion, this was his area, his time. He didn't want to waste his time by impressing some girl. It sometimes bothered Patrick when a lot of people used the qudditch pitch, they got in the way, he was always at a slow pace. Where is the fast speed and dangerous moves that his mother tells him not to do.
'Maybe I will fly on the outer edge of the field then when I come in I will slow down' Patrick thought to himself as he got to his starting point, once he saw that it was clear he blasted off feeling the G force hitting his face then it happened. A girl came out of no where and they both came crashing down. Patrick lay on the ground for a couple of seconds trying take in the pain once he opened his eyes he saw the girl doing the same thing.
"Are you crazy, did you not see me flying, you need to watch where you are going" Patrick got up slowly annoyed and heated up but he put out his hand to help her up.
