Rose's middle name is Gwendolyn because the Weasleys have Arthurian names [according to the Harry Potter Wiki].
Rose sometimes has a very difficult time reconciling the fact that she is very smart with the fact that she is a teenage girl. She is very good at processing information and consolidating it, which makes her very good at homework and reading, but very bad at social interaction. She tends to overanalyze every aspect of her life, be it an ancient rune or a possibly flirty boy. She has always known and been taught that books held the answers to things and, since she loves to research and read everything she can get her hands on, she has turned to magazines for advice on how to be a normal teenager. The only way she knows how to interact with strangers that she doesn't feel comfortable with is the ways that the magazines describe.
Like her mother, Rose is very clever. She has a large arsenal of handy spells to help with every day things, like tying ponytails and healing burnt tongues, which she uses frequently. She is quick thinking and logical, especially when a situation does not involve emotions. When it does, she's very easily flustered. For the most part, she resorts to any fact she can recall from the things she's read or the things that girls she looks up to have said. The good thing [or bad thing, depending on how you look at it] is that Rose has a nearly photographic memory when it comes to books and she remembers almost everything she's read that she was interested in. This makes it easy for her to recite facts at will.
Rose Weasley does not break the rules. She has never gotten detention before and were she ever to do so, she would likely cry. She gets uncomfortable putting even a toe out of line or witnessing rulebreaking. She is generally not a snitch, however, and can usually be trusted to keep secrets. Despite the fact that she is fairly psychotic when it comes to her own life, she is a good friend. Listening is one of her strong points and, though she could not advise herself to save her life, her advice for other people is usually good and should be taken to heart. She is good at problem-solving and enjoys puzzles, translations, and mysteries.
Rose tries very hard to be girly. She does not want to be one of those reclusive smart girls and makes an effort to dress nicely and wear lip gloss and foundation and eyeliner, if she remembers. She is not exactly fashion-savvy, though, so her wardrobe consists of a lot of plain things that she can match out of necessity as well as many jean skirts, because they make her more mature and stylish, obviously.
