dominique wasn't one for school trips. even back in her third year, going to hogsmeade hadn't been special. in fact, the fifth year treated it like a chore when she went, complaining about how she wasn't back in the castle doing more important things than window shopping at some craptastic stores. most of the time, she skipped the hogsmeade weekends and went to the library to complete homework. it was always so quiet in the school, with only the first and seconds years around, plus the few other older students who didn't go to the wizard village for some reason or another. she always got so much work done on those days because of the peace. that had been her plan for this weekend as well. it didn't matter to her that it was the first trip of the year. she just wanted to get her potions essay over and done with.
however, it seemed phoenix had other plans. it was difficult to find places in the school where they could converse, since it always had to be top secret and private. if anyone saw dom talking to him, suspicions would arise. she couldn't let the paper angels begin to catch on to who was telling all their secrets. she would never have a chance against victoire without phoenix. so, she didn't really have much of a choice when she received the letter telling her to meet him behind the shrieking shack at one.
the meeting had been brief. there wasn't much to tell the leader of the wicked wands yet, seeing as the paper angels had not met yet. the only information she could pass on was, yes, victoire was still leader and yes, there were plans for reincarnations that would happen. dom told him the few people that had been suggested, and phoenix had told her to do whatever was in her power to get them to disagree to the idea of bringing back albus dumbledore. she understood that perfectly, people said that dumbledore was the greatest wizard of all time. it would be difficult to go up against that power, even if the reincarnation had no idea who he was.
after the meeting, dominique had been reluctant to walk back to the castle. so instead, she entered honeydukes sweetshop, intending to find a nice sugary treat to keep her occupied for the next little while. she hadn't had candy in a very long time.

Makenna was excited that today was the Hogsmeade trip; any excuse to wear her regular clothes made her a very happy girl. She had brought a chair to the nearby mirror and sat in front of it; she had been sitting there staring for a very long time trying to figure out if she liked the way she looked at this moment. Makenna was very particular about her looks, she always had to look her best no matter what or where she was going to do. Of course this seemed like a normal girl thing to her, some would say otherwise; she was always the last one out of her crew to get ready sometimes..But hey what can a girl do? She sat there for another couple of minutes and flipped her hair upside down and right back up quickly, she then ruffled it a bit and stood up to walk out. She was wearing a tight black skirt along with a slightly overlarge white tank top with sandals. Though the skirt was fingertip length, she still felt the need to pull it down. People may think different but the truth was sometimes she did not want to show the whole world her goods. She smirked as she strutted out of the dungeons and out into the great hall. People would stare as she walked, maybe because they thought she lacked something today as she usually wore something more reveling, or maybe just because people always stared at her, she liked this. When she was finished eating she wiped her moth and got up, flipping her hair back onto her shoulders as she walked. She was excited just to get out of the castle for a while it was really putting a damper on her mood. She was smiling as she walked, not staring at anyone just in case it ruined her mood. She walked with the group of children, a few steps back of course, to Hogsmead.. When she arrived she looked around for a while trying to decide where to go first, she settled on the Three Broomsticks for a quick butterbeer, she wanted to make sure she got a chance to get over to Honeydukes before leaving today. She walked in and looked around, she didn’t really know what to expect, and her crew of course would never come to a trip. She sat at the bar and ordered it sitting there only as to drink it. The place kind of creeped her out, too many nice people for her liking here today. She finished it quickly and hopped off the stool making her way to Honeydukes. She could see the doors from here and became excited. It had been a while since she had candy. As she reached the doors to enter she felt almost like a little kid, she then stopped and made herself regroup; what would it look like if she came in all giggly, people were not allowed to see that. She walked in after a moment and took a deep breath, breathing in all the sugary smells that just over took her. She started to look around, and then she noticed Dominique. This girl was her least favorite in the castle, she was scum, vile, and downright annoyed her. Makenna could be nice when she wanted, to the right people of course, but Makenna seemed to think that no matter what house this girl was in she would have hated her all the same. She scrunched her nose as if she smelled something bad as she walked up to her. "Why do you have to be everywhere? I need a break from scum like you."

dom inspected the candy carefully, trying to make a decision on what she wanted to buy. she had only brought a little money with her, because she hadn't actually expected to spend any time in the village so she had to choose carefully. she needed something delicious that she could get a fair amount of for a sickle. most of the cheap things sounded disgusting, blood pops, cockroach clusters and jelly slugs. none of those things sounded very appetizing. but most of the candy that she enjoyed; chocolate frogs, pink coconut ice and siugar quills were rather expensive. dominique needed a stash of candy that would last her a little while, so those were out of the question. she turned down another aisle, the final aisle of the store. if she left the shop without buying anything, she would be rather upset. but she wasn't wasting her money on expensive candy that she could get cheaper in diagon alley.
a voice distracted her from her quest to find the perfectly priced candy, and she spun around to see who it belonged to. dom smirked when she saw the slytherin, dressed in muggle clothes. she had just put on her robes, minus the gryffindor stuff, because these trips meant nothing to her. makenna, however, seemed to think hogsmeade weekends were fashion shows. or maybe she was trying to impress someone. that would be a failed attempt, makenna was horribly ugly. dominique wondered if she knew her face resembled a mountain troll. no boy would touch her with a ten foot pole. and that was generous. because dominique wouldn't even touch her with a twenty foot one. who knew where she had been?
dominique stifled laughter when the girl called her scum. many of the slytherin girls hated her, because she spent more time with phoenix than they did. she was a god damn gryffindor, and their leader looked at her over them. it was because she was smart like a ravenclaw, loyal like a hufflepuff, brave like a gryffindor and sly like a slytherin. she had qualities of every house, which made her the perfect accomplice. makenna, for example, couldn't compare. being sly got you no where when you didn't have the brains to pair it with. and the goyle obviously wasn't smart enough to handle being a double agent. if she was, then she wouldn't take her on. dominique could be really nasty when she wanted to be, and she wasn't above fighting dirty. if she and makenna ever came down into a duel, dom would not hesitate to throw out some foul curses. she wouldn't use unforgivables, she wasn't getting thrown in askaban over a slytherin slut, but she knew some others that could do some damage. and, she had phoenix. he'd teach her whatever she wanted to know. "well then why don't you go back to your little dungeon with all your slutty friends? i'd never even think of going in there."

She snorted, this girl sounded so stupid. She loved how she acted like she new what she was talking about, she might think she does but that is just because all the ugly on her was fogging her brain. Makenna thought the girl to be the most annoying, ugly, stupid, witch she had ever met in her life. She loved that she thought she was extra cool just because she was friends with Phoenix, when reality was that most people could care less. But still it was amusing to watch the girl act stupid in front of everyone, seeing everyone laugh at the girl was the best time ever. She wished at this moment that she could just attack the girl; Makenna wasn't one for girlie fighting, she did not pull hair, she actually punched. She shook her head as she heard the girls answer, it was pretty stupid as well. She sighed and shook her head. "You'd like that wouldn't you? You think your so cool, when actually you pretty much the dumbest girl here and the people who you think like you are using you." This statement was pretty much a fact as it was. She laughed and started at the girl, everything about her she hated. Her clothes looked like her dog picked them out, her hair looked messy and a bad experiment gone wrong, her face looked like it was deformed shortly after her mother saw her. She did not understand why the girl made her feel so violent, but she wanted to attack her anytime she saw her, which unfortunately was a lot. She sighed slowly so she didn't loose her cool and laughed at the girl once more as she brushed her shoulder walking behind her. She came her for candy and this girl was ruining her appetite. Makenna figured that she probably ruined a lot of peoples appetite what with her ugliness and all. She walked over to the Sugar Quills and picked a couple up for her and her brother. She has not seen him in a while so she figured he would like some too. She then walked over to the next thing and picked up a couple as well. After she picked her favorite things and a few extras she went and checked out putting her bag away. She walked toward the door and opened it, she stopped turned around and threw some gold at her,"Go buy yourself something decent." She said chuckling as she walked out the door.

dominique couldn't stand girls like makenna, who thought they ruled the world because they had friends. the goyle girl was part of the fallen eyes group, a group that was pretty much a bunch of poser slytherins, according to phoenix. the lestrange didn't take much of a liking to that group, he had deemed them as lapdog followers. dominique didn't know many of them, aside from makenna. there was scorpius malfoy, who wasn't too bad looking, and dahlia crabbe, a gryffindor. the others remained nameless though, although she knew makenna had a brother in there somewhere. if dom remembered correctly, he was in her year.
dom didn't have too many friends. she was false friends with the paper angels, pretending to be a sweet innocent little girl, and she was involved in business with phoenix. but most of her relationships were based more on mutual agreements not to hate one another, rather than true loyalty and friendship. she had no problem with that though. dom had trouble with commitment, because she got bored of being surrounded by the same people at all times. or at least, that was what she told herself. she was actually pretty damn scared of commitment, really.
dom rolled her eyes at the insults that were thrown at her. stuff like that didn't phase her whatsoever. "i'm sorry, but my grades beg to differ with your accusations." she replied to the comment on her intelligence. right now, she was getting very decent grades in her classes, and she was even one of the top students in a few of them. dominique could be a ravenclaw, with the amount of time she spent with her nose in a book. dom ignored the gold that was thrown at her. she didn't need it. "makenna, did you forget something? my family has just a bit more money than yours does, now that the war is over. after all, my daddy didn't spend two years in askaban."
now, how could she get to makenna? what would bother her, to a point past what dominique had achieved in the past. she couldn't stick to petty insults, because that was makenna's side of the battle, and in slytherin, you got used to being called names. she needed something that would bother her. a lot. she had an idea. "oh, makenna, one more thing." dominique walked towards the slytherin, her hand in her pocket, getting something out. there it was! dom pulled out a chain necklace that had been given to her earlier by some hufflepuff who had a crush on her. it was going to come in use. "could you return this to your brother? he left it in my dorm" she smiled, wickedly. even if makenna didn't believe it, the idea that her brother had slept with her would drive her crazy. even if it was a lie. She laughed as the girl tried to act all tough, she was so naive. "Book smarts can only get you so far, you think your so sly, it's obvious you are doing something bad; but don't worry I will find out." she thought it funny that the girl thought she had it all figured out, just because a couple people believed her did not mean she was in the clear. She raised an eyebrow, " You think you have more money? I doubt it, and anyways that doesn't even matter to me, I am content with what I have so even if you do I could care less." she folded her arms, this was true she was very content. Just because her father was in Askaban did not mean the rest of the family had no means of income, this girl had a lot to learn about reality. It really got under here skin that this idiot thought she knew something about her father, the only people that actually knew anything where the Crabbes and Scorpious, it was obvious to her that the girl was trying to find or make up anything to annoy her.
She raised her eyebrows as the girl wanted to say something else, what did she think of now. She laughed at the sight of the necklace, obviously she did not know her brother because if she had would know that he did not like to have or wear any sort of jewelry. She laughed in the girls face as she picked it up."Nice try dog, but my brother has never and will never own and sort of jewelry. You are stupider than you look, maybe before trying to make someone mad you should find out some facts." She laughed again and rolled it around in her hands. She got up in Dominique's face, wincing at the god awful smell coming off of the girl, she threw the necklace at her forehead and took a step back.
She hated the girl yes, but she had to admit that she was capable of damage; not to her of course. She folded her arms and glared at the girl, it was still funny how she thought Makenna would believe such an obvious lie. She knew her brother better than she knew anyone else in the world; she was especially protective over him for him being very un slytherin like. This, however, never bothered the girl, he was family and his beliefs may be different but she had to protect him from everyone else especially her father. She remember hearing that her brother was found talking nicely to a Hufflepuf girl, she shuddered and shook her head, this was ok..he would be fine. She laughed again and looked at the dumb girl hoping she had something else to try."Is that the best you got dog?"

dominqiue turned her focus back to the candy in front of her. she had come here for a sweet, something that would take her mind off of all the shit that was going on and take her to a world of sugary goodness. and even if she was going to end up dueling makenna today, she wanted a god damn sweet first. she pondered over the candy in front of her, before finally picking two sugar quills. she went over to the cashier with a sweet smile, and gave him her money. then, with an expertise that only came with practice, she gave him a look that purely meant 'i want you.' of course, she didn't give two fucks about the guy in front of her. but he didn't know that, and it only took a moment for him to get hit full in the face with her veela charm. "keep it. it's on me!" he said enthusiastically, handing back the money she had given him. she smiled sweetly, and then completely turned her back on the guy. it always worked like a charm. these boys were weak under her veela powers.
"but makenna, i thought you would be in support of gryffindors going bad! after all, you are a member of the wicked wands." dominique raised her voice for the final part of her sentence, drawing plenty of looks. the paper angels knew of the existence of the wicked wands, and they knew salazar slytherin and lord voldemort had been reincarnated and kept their memories. but while they had guesses on the members of the wicked wands, they had no clue who was in it. so if a paper angel happened to overhear her remark, makenna was completely screwed. as was her brother, because they would assume the two were working together, along with the crabbes and scorpius malfoy. dom couldn't imagine they would be too pleased with makenna if they got caught because of her.
dominque simply shook her head at the slytherin's attempts to defend her family. her family had quite a bit of money, from her mothers side, and from her fathers job at grigotts. it paid extremely well, and not anyone could be a codebreaker. but she just flicked a hand in response, a gesture that clearly meant whatever. she listened to makenna spiel about her brother not wearing jewellery and just shrugged. she hadn't expected the lie to work anyway, it was just worth a shot. and it had pissed off the other girl, even if it was for a different reason than the attempt had been. dominique just raised an eyebrow when the girl came closer, and took out her wand when the necklace was thrown. "windgardium leviosa." she said, flicking her wand quickly. the necklace floated, half an inch away from her face.
with another flick of her wand, the necklace fell into her outstretched hand. "that's alright. i'm sure you are already aware that your brother is screwing around with hufflepuffs. i wouldn't dare touch him. i might catch something."
