It stood up to good reason that the Weasley family was slightly wealthier than their predecessors. At least, for Victoire's side, anyway. Having grandparents on her mother's side with money, they hardly ever went off to Hogwarts without new supplies. Still, it wasn't as though they were extremely rich, either. They had to cut back on things and budget when necessary, but generally they got what they wanted. The time had come for the Weasleys to head down to Diagon Alley and shop for supplies. That year, Vic had convinced her parents to give her her own money to shop for her supplies on her own. She was thrilled to escape them. However, she did have to go with them to Madam Malkin's to try on her new robes. She hadn't grown much, but the short sixth year was convinced she had to have grown another inch.
Toire and her family made their way through the crowded alleyway, heading toward the robe shop. Upon entering, Victoire was engulfed by a grinning Madam Malkin. The woman was always pleased to help out the Weasley family, and for some reason enjoyed Vic's presence. It may have had something to do with the Veela in here - she couldn't tell. Vic was always polite and acted appropriately when those who knew her family treated her like a little kid. She just ignored the pinching of cheeks and various compliments, taking them kindly and exchanging blubbering, idol conversation of how things are and excitement of returning to Hogwarts. Victoire was the first of the three to try her robes and be fitted, and as such she stood on the raised platform, outstretching her arms.
She looked to her sister, who had taken a seat alongside their brother. Vic didn't understand why she and Dom couldn't get along, but it hurt her badly inside. She wanted to be the sister that her siblings looked up to for guidance and good measure, but never was. Dominique seemed to hate her completely, while Louis was almost gone forever thanks to her. If she had been a better sister, she would have made sure that the Paper Angels hadn't had to have reincarnated him in the first place. She sighed to herself and looked down, wondering if her family would ever be normal. Their parents didn't seem to see the extent of Dom and Vic's anger toward each other. It was breaking Victoire's heart to not have her sister in her life like she wanted, but she had to make it through the day. She never let a tear shed in front of them, and never let it slip that she was actually breaking.

dominique had been overjoyed when her mother had told her she was allowed to shop alone for her school supplies this year. after a summer of being stuck with her family, she seriously needed to get away from them for a little while. louis was alright, her little brother mostly left her alone. and dom loved her father, even though he wasn't around much. but if she had to spend one more moment with her mother or victoire, she would scream. loud enough to get the attention of even the unfocused muggles. she had nearly bounced up and down with happiness when her mother handed her a baggy with money in it, just for her. and she had almost giggled when they set a meeting place, the leaky cauldron at four o'clock. that gave her four whole hours to shop by herself. more alone time than she had had all summer.
so, obviously, the gryffindor girl had not been pleased when she stepped through the fireplace at the leaky cauldron to be told that she had to go to madam malkins with her family. she had argued, and she had even said she didn't need new robes, even though that was clearly a lie. she had grown quite a bit since last year, and none of her old black robes fit anymore. but she didn't want to go anywhere with her family, and if it meant spending her own money on robes, so be it. but fleur had just shook her head at all the complaints and led on towards the robe shop, head held high. victoire had followed with that stupid air of arrogance that everyone else called confidence, and louis had just walked like the average gangly fourteen year old would. she slouched, defeated and followed slowly. why did her life suck so much?
dominique simply glared when madam malkin greeted victoire like she was a celebrity. what did everyone see in her sister anyway? there was nothing special about her, she wasn't even that pretty. it wasn't veela charm, because both she and louis had that, and the woman ignored them both, focusing completely on the eldest weasley. she glanced at her brother, who had simply just sat down quietly in one of the available waiting seats. her mother had done the same. with one more glare towards her sister, dominique threw herself in the chair next to her brother with a huff. "always the bloody golden girl." she muttered, earning a glare from her mother. "direct your beady eyes somewhere else." she said, under her breath. if her mother heard that, she would create a scene. but fleur just looked back at victoire, she obviously hadn't heard the comment. "bitch." if louis heard anything, he was very good at ignoring his sister.

Victoire watched Dom's lips move, obviously saying something to herself. She knew it was most likely about her, or their mother. Did Dominique even recognize Fleur as her mother, anymore? She changed so much, and Vic didn't even know who she was anymore. Victoire was still trying to figure out who she herself was, but one thing she was sure about was that family always come first. She knew she would never betray her family, no matter how annoying they got. How could Dom actually even consider it? How could she not realize what she actually had?
The Gryffindor realized that her sister may feel like she had fallen into the darkness of her shadow, but Vic had tried to get through to her. At first, she thought Dom had just sunk into a rebellion phase, like teenage angst had gotten the best of her. It was far worse than that, though. Dominique seemed to lose sight of who she was, the sparkling young woman Victoire always thought she could be. Toire knew that Dom was insecure, what with Vic taking the lead sibling role for them all. However, that wasn't how Victoire wanted it to be. She didn't purposely steal the limelight from anybody. Her mother seemed to give her more attention because she was sweeter and more kind that Dom. Ever since Dominique became stand-offish and started keeping to herself, she just didn't have that same glow she did before.
Victoire felt bad that she was center-stage when it came to their side of the family. Still, there was Louis. He could outshine any of them, and Toire truly believed that. He was an amazing kid, and has considered herself truly blessed to have had the Paper Angels reincarnate him when he was attacked. She sighed as she noted that she was through getting fitted, and stepped down from the platform. She stared at Dom and bit her lower lip, then shook her head and took a seat beside her mother, separate from her siblings. She loved Louis, but couldn't take the pain that Dom's anger held against her heart.

obviously, victoire had seen her lips move. she probably didn't actually know what she had said though, and even if she did, who cared? it wasn't like dominique didn't make it perfectly clear that she wanted nothing to do with her sister. she was sick of being little dominique weasley, not as pretty as her sister victoire, not as fun as her sister victoire, not as smart as her sister victoire. their mother never failed to tell dominique that she was a failure to the delacour name, and dom was constantly reminding her mother that they weren't the delacour family, they were weasley's. and weasley's were all about quidditch, red hair and bad attitudes. or, at least two of the three. even if dominique had tried her best in her classes, and hadn't dyed and cut off her hair, she still wouldn't measure up. louis was the adorable baby of the family who got fawned over, and victoire was the perfect older sister. they didn't even acknowledge dom was alive, unless they were yelling at her for something or other. it just blood sucked.
victoire stepped down the from the platform, and dominique stood with a groan. her turn. great. now her family would be watching her, and madam malkin would rant on and on about some stupid thing. "ah! dominique!" the woman said, her magical tape measurer beginning to get dom's measurements. 'you've grown so much! you were about as short as your little brother last time you came in here, isn't he the cutest? oh, and your sister has gotten so grown up as well, i remember when you were all just little kids and victoire was getting her first robes for her first hogwarts year, oh it's been so long. your siblings are so gorgeous, with their pretty blonde hair. why did you chop all yours off and dye it that-" the woman stopped talking when dominique yanked herself away from the tape measurer, stepping off the platform.
"shut up. we are paying you to make me some damn robes, and you are giving me a headache." ]
this got reactions. her mother glared at her once again, and louis was looking at her with an unreadable expression. the woman gasped, putting a hand to her heart like she was really offended. what bullshit. "dominique amelie weasley!" her mother exclaimed, her dumb accent making each and every part of dominique's name sound horrible. dom simply looked at her with angels eyes. "yes, mother dearest? have i done something wrong?" her mother glared at her, and louis shook his head. the look in his eyes clearly told her not to continue. but dominique was angry. she wasn't going to back down.
'apologize!' her mother ordered, and dominique looked at the woman with a obviously fake smile. "i did not mean to offend you miss. i was simply stating the truth. i did not mean anything by it. sauf exactement que j'ai dit. si vous voulez parler de ma soeur, parlez à ma soeur. elle est assez suffisante, vous deux pouvez déclamer de comment parfait elle est ensemble" the woman obviously did not know what it meant. but her mother did, and she was getting that look of diapproval again. her mother didn't like her saying i meant exactly what i said. if you want to talk about my sister, talk to my sister. she's conceited enough, you two can rant about how perfect she is together oh well. too bad for her, it was already said.
"god, i hate you all. i'll be back in four hours." she did a fake cheery wave, and headed for the door. "oh, one more thing..." she said, turning around before exiting. she flicked her wand, and victoire's hair turned green. a clever trick she learned from the manager of zonkos. "bye bye!"

Everything seemed to be going just as she thought it would. Vic watched as Dominique got annoyed with the tailor, which she could understand. Toire hated when people went on about her and Louis, especially in front of Dom. She would go off in a heartbeat.
Breathe. Beat. Breathe. Beat.
Ding! Argument's ready.
Just as Victoire presumed, Dominique started going off on the lady. Her mother was embarassed and infuriated with her sister's behaviour. It was evident, especially after Dom pretended to be kind, batting her lashes. She began to tell the lady off in French, which Toire began to roll her eyes at. Vic didn't understand where Dom got her information from. She acted as though Victoire acted like a princess, when she didn't at all. Vic acted kind, yes. She even went out of her way for others. Didn't Dominique realize she could be that, and do that, too? That was her own damn choice. She obviously didn't want to be sweet or kind. Did she think being a rebel without a cause, and instead with an attitude, would make their mother proud? Did she think people would love her for being originally blunt and harmful? She might want rethink things.
When Dominique started for the door, Victoire sighed of relief. Maybe she'd just go and leave them be. Her mother and father didn't deserve the disrespect she was bringing upon their family. But, Dom didn't just walk out. No, of course, she did something that was utterly amusing to her, she probably stopped just outside to pee herself. Victoire shrieked as she pulled her hair out to the side, staring widely at its green complexion. "DOMINIQUE AMELIE WEASLEY! JE VAIS VOUS OBTENIR POUR CETTE!" she screamed, telling her she'd get her for that. Victoire stormed out of the shop and into the crowded street, but noted her sister's bright hair a few people upwards.
"DOMINIQUE!"

dominique couldn't help snickering when she glanced at victoire. her hair was a light green, looking like she had done a horrible job at dying her hair. she wondered if victoire would learn the counter spell, or if she would be stuck like that, begging dom to turn it back. which, of course she wouldn't do. not until they went back to hogwarts and everyone saw her. it would be perfect, people would realize that victoire wasn't the perfect thing that they thought she was, and they would notice how washed out she was. victoire wasn't pretty. she was hideous. that was why dominique had cut off her hair and dyed it. the blonde just made them look disgustingly pale.
she shoved open the door and walked out into the crowd quickly. she heard her sister shriek in french, and sighed. she was hoping victoire would just whine to her mother and try and fix it. but instead, she was going to chase her sister. great, she was going to have to deal with victoire for even longer now. dom was practically running through the crowd, passing as many people as possible. she knew her sister was going to catch up to her eventually, but she wanted as many people as possible to see the seaweed coloured hair on victoire before they had to battle this out. fleur was going to bother her until she fixed it, and eventually dom was going to get so sick of her mother that she would comply. but she wanted some appreciation for her spell.
dominique stopped outside of olivanders, leaning against the wall, waiting for her sister. she could see the head of green hair getting closer. "what do you want? why won't you leave me alone? i'm sick of you! i'm sick of you getting glory for everything! they voted you leader of the paper angels over me, our parents think you're perfect, everyone things you are the best bloody thing to appear on the face of the earth. not to mention teddy-" dominique wasn't thinking about what she was saying. victoire didn't know about what had happened between she and teddy back before dom started at hogwarts. she stopped talking, and took a deep breath. people were looking at her now.

Toire simply stood there, staring at her sister as she began yelling at her. It was typical of her, and Victoire knew it was coming. But her words stung like bees as she listened. She could almost hear the buzzing in the background. "what do you want? why won't you leave me alone? i'm sick of you! i'm sick of you getting glory for everything! they voted you leader of the paper angels over me, our parents think you're perfect, everyone thinks you are the best bloody thing to appear on the face of the earth. not to mention teddy-" She stood there, wide-eyed. A few people passed, looking at them and then whispering to whoever they were with. She'd made a scene out of nothing, out of a day that was supposed to be a good one for both of them. She'd ruined it.
But, that wasn't what she was focused on. Victoire remembered back to the day at the Potter's, where Dominique had sparked an explosion of her heart. Teddy had comforted her, making her aware that maybe she shouldn't let Dominique get to her. However, it was evident to her now that the only way she was going to be able to ignore Dom was for her to not be in her life anymore.Vic didn't really reflect on her words as much as the fact that she had the nerve to say them. And then she'd started to go on about Teddy...which was quite interesting. Ted played no role in their arguments, or her sister's feud against her. At least, she didn't think so...right?
Victoire stepped forward, shaking her head. "You know what, Dominique...I'm sick of you. Your jealousy is out of control. I seriously don't understand what the hell I did to make you this way, but I'm truly sorry for it. But I'm done. Don't call yourself my sister, because you're far from it," she said, then turned on her heel and walked away. She turned back around briefly, though, and stared at Dominique. "By the way, since you're trying so hard to be a Weasley, here's a tip - they're generally not forgetful where they come from."
At that, she turned away and walked back toward Madam Malkin's. She was sure her father could get her hair back to its natural colour. If not, she'd have to dye it or something. She didn't really care, though. She was through with Dominique, and forever would be from that point on. The end.( you can certainly reply to this if you want, but i figure this is probably where we should end it, haha.) [/blockquote][/blockquote]
