hey this post is for jayson abercrombie! & thnx for reading! :3 the young gryffindor giggled at him, rolling her eyes slightly after. "yea, like that would happen," she replied, her eyes wide at the mere idea. still, aurors would have most likely bombarded his home if they weren't going to go tell her parents where she was headed. victoire's parents were extremely protective over her, as all of their children. specifically toire, though, since she seemed to be the one who took the limelight and embraced it wholly. she shrugged, though, not so much afraid of aurors as she was her own mother. now that would be something to be concerned about.
toire imagined sitting in his room, most likely on the bed, watching him search his stacks of endless belongings. then she would get up to help him, only to be interrupted by her mother who would stand just underneath the frame of his door. she could imagine her mother's hair standing on end and her teeth bearing. it took all victoire had not to listen internally to the sound of fleur's teeth grinding against each other as she tried to withhold her anger. the worst part of her appearance, though, would be her eyes. victoire hated her mother's eyes when she got angry. they looked cold, but somehow hot in the idea of being hungry. they made her mother look as though she would pounce onto her prey at any moment. now that was something toire definitely did not want to happen.
it was a good thing, then, that jay agreed to meet up with her parents before taking off. "that's alright - i figured your room would be like ted's, if not worse,"
she said, then patted his back. victoire had flashed him a rather cheeky grin after the fact, but was sure he didn't see it considering he was faced away from her. she followed him through the crowded store, her lungs begging to be given all the air they desired. in the store, within the people, victoire felt as though she couldn't breathe properly. as such, it was a great relief when she finally heard the ding of the door open and felt herself slipping out into the open air. she embraced the warmth that threw itself upon her, and she almost could have fallen asleep. toire smiled to herself, then moved through the people coming into the store, and made sure she was out. "well," she began, "the last i saw them was at madam malkin's. i'm sure they've moved on by now...perhaps to magical menagerie? mum was talking about getting a new owl for herself." victoire assumed that because her mother generally got everything she wanted, a new owl would be no exception. she was treated rather well by her father, bill. victoire nodded, deciding that would be the place they looked first. she had a feeling they'd be there. "let's go then," she proclaimed, then began walking in direction of the pet store. toire was slightly excited to see her mother's reaction to her finding jayson. fleur usually got a little flustered when he came around, though she knew why. jay was quite a looker, eh. ( ooc: sorry for the wait love! <3 ) [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Post by JAYSON ANTHONY ABERCROMBIE on Aug 24, 2011 8:46:00 GMT -5
In the almost six years Jayson had known Victoire, he had yet to really see her mother’s protective side. While he knew her parents were very protective, he actually only saw them maybe a few times a year during the summers and to him they seemed to not see him as any kind of threat. Personally he liked them, although he found her father more intimidating. While he heard stories that her mother was the one to fear, he just found her father to seem tough, although that could be the scars he had. He knew they were from a werewolf, during the final battle back in the war. Apparently, her family had a bad history with them, seeing what happened with Louis. Jay still wasn’t sure if her parents really trusted him though, he supposed today would tell him, if they let Toire go to his house without anyone else.
When she mentioned her mother wanted a new owl, he grinned, that woman really knew how to get what she wanted. She was rather mesmerizing, even in her older age Jayson still considered her to be beautiful, just more mature than his personal liking. Of course he knew it was more than that, he’d seen the way her parents looked at one another, you could tell they were still completely smitten with each other and her father would do anything for Fleur. Jay wondered if he’d ever have that, someone you never lost those feelings for. It seemed sometimes over time people got somewhat bored in their marriages, maybe that was why divorces were actually appearing through out the wizarding world, he knew years ago no one would ever think to do such a thing.
As they made their way to the shop, he followed behind her, squeezing through people easily. He wondered how miserable Dominique was going to look, she was always grouchy when she was forced to be around her family all day. She might perk up at Victoire leaving though, the girl really disliked her sister. Jay might go as far as to say she hated Toire, although he’d rather not, it was a rather harsh thought. As they neared the shop, the girl’s red hair stood out in the crowd of people he could see through the shop window, although they were just now exiting. ”Time to suck up,” he teased, moving right up behind Vic so he could whisper it into her ear, before stepping back again not wanting her parents to think he was being all over her.
Victoire had never really had any sort of serious boyfriend that he knew of, which he assumed meant she hadn’t. He wondered what her parents would do though, possibly hire someone to follow the guy, get a detailed history and information on his family. Of course, Jayson hoped his imagination was at work here, he couldn’t imagine someone really doing a history check on someone for dating their daughter.
(I suppose I forgive you! XP )

hey this post is for jayson abercrombie! & thnx for reading! :3 Toire laughed to herself as she heard Jay's words in her ear, then shook her head. She really hoped he could be civilized enough to ensure that her parents would let her go off with him. Maybe he wasn't aware, but they tended to be a little protective. She was pretty certain it was because of the past that they had been involved in, and the uneasiness outsiders gave them. However, that could have just been a hunch.
She had spotted her family just after Jay did, though she was sure that the only reason he had first was because he was looking for Dominique's bright hair. Victoire was definitely not looking for her, at all. Still, it seemed that Dom was still tagging along with her parents. She sighed at the idea of having to spend even five minutes of confrontation with the girl. Plus, Dominique usually embarrassed her. Toire gulped, then braced herself as she watched her parents exit the shop, her father carrying an owl's cage and her brother strolling at his side, his same, average stature and grin upon his face. " Ey Mum, Dad," she greeted them, a smile upon her features. She practically nudged them all over to the side of the door, nestling against the wall of the building.
Victoire ran a hand through her hair then looked up at Jay and grinned. "Uh, you know Jayson,"
she began, then nodded and looked at her dad. He seemed to know what was coming. If Victoire hadn't been up to something like sneaking off with a boy, there was no way she'd introduce him to her parents. She looked at the owl inside the cage and smiled. "Decided to get one, huh? Any names yet?" she asked, then squatted and looked in the cage. The owl looked a bit scared, but she knew that was most likely from being around so many new people and not stabilized. She was looking forward to getting to know it, really, and hoped that it got accustomed to their loud home. She stood back up, flipping her locks over her shoulder. "So, um, I was just wondering..." she started, then looked down. No. Victoire wasn't going to approach them all puny-like. She was strong. She looked up and stared at them square in the eyes. "Jay has some books that I need and I thought I could save you guys some money by just using his! But, I need to go to his house to get them. So, I was wondering if I could go there and just hang out and I'll come home tonight?" she asked, then looked to Dom who was glaring. Dominique would make up any reason to make her the bad one. She sighed and looked back to her parents, hoping they wouldn't blow it out of proportion. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
