Jayson was actually getting some school work done, it was surely a miracle this year for him to be able to get anything done. This year was already beginning to be a crazy one, the Paper Angels had done several reincarnations and were planning more through out the year. It was a bit tiring at times, wiping memories and coming up with a whole new life for each reincarnated wizard. Then there was quidditch practice, prefect meetings and patrolling. If you add in his personal goal involving a certain blonde, there was hardly any time to think of school.
He refused to not try though, his grades had always been somewhat important to him. Jay was actually an intelligent guy, he really loved charms class. His friends were important, quiddich was defiantly important, but so was his class work and it had been neglected lately.
This was why Jayson had chosen to spend his evening in the Library, catching up on a transfiguration essay, instead of hanging out with friends or flying at the pitch. So far, he was doing well on his essay, close to finishing which was miraculous. His mind was so full of things going on this year, he had no idea how he had been able to concentrate long enough to finish an entire essay.
After all the writing though, his hand was beginning to cramp up, causing him to flex it a bit and opt on a break. Glancing around the library, he wondered what everyone else was up to tonight.

Victoire Weasley, probably the only Weasley child who didnt have the trademark red hair, was meandering through the halls of Hogwarts, slowly making her way in the general direction of the library. Her rich gold hair swished behind her as she walked, falling almost to her waist. Her eyes, a soft bronze-hazel color, were blank but inside her brain was working.
As the leader of the Paper Angels Vic's life was getting pretty busy, between Angel meetings, classwork, and her two best friends Teddy Lupin and Jay Abercrombie acting wierd. Vic finally reached the library and sighed. She had been enjoying the silent ambiance of the corridors, but she really needed to get her Charms essay done, so she slipped inside attempting to be as quiet as possible so as not to incur the wrath of one particularly cranky librarian.
Looking around the almost empty library--it was pretty late after all--Vic noticed one of her best friends, Jay, sitting at a table all by himself. He was stretching, having obviously finished writing some essay. A soft smile crossed Vic's lips. She really did love Jay like a brother, same way she loved Teddy. Vic quickly made her way over to him and say down. "Hey Jay," she said, flashing him a bright smile.

As Jayson flexed his fingers, he wasn’t expecting someone to approach him, let alone the girl who had been plaguing his thoughts night and day. With a grin, he looked up at Victoire, pausing for a moment to take in how beautiful she was when she smiled. ”Hey Toire, come to distract me from dreadful homework?” he asked, pushing away his essay and gesturing to the seat across from him. ”I could always use a pretty girl to distract me,” he joked, sending a playful wink her way, although honestly he meant his words. The problem was, he didn’t want her to know how much he meant them.
While she was beautiful, Jay loved her for so much more than that, for her kindness and intelligence. She was funny and brilliant, a joy to be around. Her beauty was just an added perk to how wonderful she really was. ”I’ve been stressed lately,” he admitted with a small sigh, he hated complaining or discussing his feelings at all, which was why it was so hard to ever even attempt to tell Vic how he felt about her. Even this small comment on his stress made him cringe, he felt as though he were complaining, he wasn’t the type to talk about feelings or whine about his problems.
So instead of remaining serious and getting help from one of his best friends, he turned it into a joke, as always. ”I need a stress reliever, what girl do you think should be next on my snog list? That was possibly the worst joke to make to the girl you truly cared for, but he was so beyond nervous of her knowing about his true feelings, it just popped out.

While Victoire was used to Jay’s flirtatious comments they still made her blush and the wink he threw in for good measure didn’t help. Victoire took the seat he motioned towards across from him and leaned back. From behind hooded eyes Victoire studied Jay. He was handsome, one of the handsomest in school, a total catch.
At one point Victoire had counted herself among his numerous adoring fans, though she had never let anyone else know that. It was back when they were new in their friendship but over time the small crush she harbored had disappeared, and her conviction that he was only a brother to her deepened whenever he made statements such as the one he just made: ”I need a stress reliever, what girl do you think should be next on my snog list?”
Really, she loved him but he could be such a man whore sometimes. With a sigh and roll of her eyes Victoire put her bag on the table and pulled out her Charms book and a piece of parchment. Victoire flipped open her book and, dipping her quill into her ink, began to take notes in silence, hoping to press upon Jay that she wouldn’t help him find some random girl to snog. Jayson watched as his friend sat down, but quickly moved to actually doing school work. Tilting his chair back onto the rear two legs, he rolled his eyes at her. ”You’re so boring, I thought you were going to distract me?” he teased, a playful smirk still on his lips. He hoped that comment hadn’t annoyed her, she had made it known in the past that she didn’t particularly agree with the way he dealt with girls. It wasn’t his fault they liked him and he was a teenage boy. Not to mention he didn’t think he was bad, he’d only ever snogged a bunch of them, he’d never had anything serious.
That was why his feelings for Vic scared him so much, he had no idea how to act when actually caring for someone. He could flirt and snog, but he could never be serious with anyone. Victoire was also one of his best friends, if he lost her friendship he didn’t know what he would do. She kept him grounded in many ways, kept him from flunking out or getting himself expelled because of a stupid prank. Without her, he had no idea what his life would be like, she had been such a big part of it since second year.
”Really though, I can’t do anymore school work,” he added seriously, dropping his chair to all for legs and giving her a pout. Jayson needed a break from work, plus she worked too much anyway, she was probably doing an essay that wasn’t even do for another week, while Jay would do it the day before school. ”If you really have to though, I guess I can leave you alone and go find out where Teddy is,” he added, not wanting to annoy her if she was serious about homework right now. ”Teddy is probably more fun anyway,” he joked, his smile once again crossing his lips, ”But not as pretty.”

Victoire glanced up from her book work. Teddy was more fun? Now that was just silly. With a smile Victoire closed her book making a thumping sound as the hardback shut. “Now that’s not very nice,” she said, eyeing her friend with a mischievous glint in her amber eyes. Standing up she stretched her arms high above her head, causing the bottom of her shirt to rise a few inches to show off her perfectly flat stomach.
Victoire looked around, noticing the complete lack of people in their section of the library. “You know,” she said thoughtfully, “I’ve been really bored lately. Do you have any ideas that could fix that little problem for me?” Victoire by no means meant anything physical or romantic in her question. She was just bored and looking for a little bit of fun. Her life had been so serious for so long and it was starting to drain her. Jay had always been the one to come up with the crazy ideas. He was good at things like that, especially when she was feeling restless. Now, as she looked down at him Victoire saw something flash in his eyes. The poor guy was just as bored as she was, tired of the same old routine they had been doing for months. Victoire felt the urge to do something wild and crazy and Jay was just the person to do that with.

Looking at her curiously, a playful smirk found its way to Jayson’s lips, amused by the way she shut her book and interested in having some fun. Of course, his idea of what could be fun with her was different than her idea, he knew she didn’t think of anything going on between them other than friendship, she was never flirtatious or showed interest, which didn’t help him with his fear of telling her about his true feelings.
Glancing around the rather quiet library, Jayson begin to think of ways to amuse her, there were so many fun things to do in a library if you thought about it, anything against the rules was fun. Of course they couldn’t actually be loud for fear of being kicked out, but they could still find something to do. He was actually tempted to play some sort of tag or hide and seek, there were crazy amounts of bookshelves, sometimes it was like a maze in here. ”Come and find me,” he said, before quickly hopping up and dodging behind book shelves right near here. Once out of her site, he made several turns before staying behind one shelf, resisting the urge to peek around and see if she had found her way near him.
He toyed with ideas of some way to mess with her when she found him, some sort of prank which he loved to do. Jayson leaned his back against the shelf behind him, holding himself back from peeking around the corner, he was hoping to hear her coming so he could try and sneak around the opposite way, maybe end up behind her and scare her.
