dominique amelie weasley was supposed to be a carbon copy of her sister, and her mother before that. she was meant to be brave, intelligent, beautiful and strong. from the moment she was born, her parents had that thought dancing in their minds. two perfect little girls. neither of them expected the firework that dominique was going to become.

born on halloween, october thirty-first, dominique and her sister did not start on good terms. because her mother was in labour, young victoire did not get to go out trick or treating. her parents had promised to bring her, as dom wasn't due for another two weeks, but those plans had been destroyed when fleur's water broke. therefore, victoire was a very angry one year old girl. she wanted her candy, not a dumb sister. in fact, she told her mother to "throw the baby away" after she was born. the young girl held a grudge for a week, going as far as saying she hated her baby sister, and referring to dominique as "poopy-head."

during their younger years, dominique and victoire played separately. this was because they looked absolutely identical, regardless of the year difference between them. victoire hated being called dominique and dominique despised being called victoire. so victoire attached herself to teddy lupin, and dominique played alone, glowering in envy of her sister. by the time she was five, she was wondering why people didn't like her, like they all adored her sister.

as they got older, it only got worse. dominique was always getting trouble from her mother, because she wasn't a proper lady. dom liked mud, and quidditch, and wearing jeans and old tshirts that hadn't been washed in days and had grass stains. she didn't understand french, and didn't have proper table manners. she was constantly getting yelled at for tracking mud in the house, or because she didn't pronounce something correctly. since her father was often not home during the day, he couldn't tell her mother to cut her some slack. so dominique began to envy her sister more for being perfect, and also began to hate her mother.

when dominique was eleven years old, the summer after her first year at hogwarts, she decided she wanted to have a crush on teddy lupin, her sister's best friend. dom wanted teddy, because he was victoire's. she wanted to take something of her sisters, because her life was so perfect. while victoire was popular at hogwarts, dom had few friends, simply because everyone thought victoire was better than she was, and since they were nearly identical, the boys always went for the perfect sister. dominqiue obsessed over teddy, turning her crush into something very difficult for the older boy to ignore. at the end of the summer, he let her down gently, telling her he liked victoire. angry, dominique threw a temper tantrum that resulted in her threatening her older sister, saying she would get her back.

dominique didn't want to be victoire's shadow anymore. that night, she poured through books, looking for spells to change her appearance permanently. when all she found was a spell to change her hair colour, she went for it, trading her pale blonde for a dark red. she then cut the waist length hair to her shoulders, ruining any similarities she would have had to her sister. the next morning, her mother freaked out and said that a delacour should never look as plain as dom did. dom replied sharply, telling her mother that she was not a delacour, she was a weasley and would never be anything different.

when the girl returned to school, the change was obvious. she was no longer a quiet tomboy who was pretty but had nothing special about her. she was harsh, and cold, and very sarcastic. she ignored her family completely, and sometimes even went out of her way to tease or bully some of them. she stopped being shy and spoke up. she even used her veela charms to her advantage, rather than treating them like a disability. it went far enough, that people began comparing the girl to a slytherin.

however, dom was a part of the paper angels. this was before victoire was leader, back when jessica harnet was still in charge. she was grateful to the group for saving her brother, even though she pretending not to care about him at all. and when jessica graduated, dominique tried to become the leader of the group. however, she failed. she lost to her sister, again.

the moment it was announced that victoire was the new leader of the paper angels, dominique walked out, quitting. she remained in the backround of the affairs between the groups, until halfway through her fourth year, when she heard rumors of a rival group named the wicked wands. dom went seeking for the leader of the group, and found him. phoenix lestrange had heard about the odd weasley, and heard her out. dominique weasley was going to be a double agent. spy on the paper angels for the wicked wands. the perfect plan.
