Growing up, Val was a little princess, she got everything she wanted from daddy. She was taught they everything can be obtained, and that she deserved whatever her heart desired. She believed she was entitled to everything, better than everyone, deserving of whatever she wanted. Her childhood was amazing, being pampered, having everything so perfect.
Hogwarts was where she learned you don't always get everything as easily as she expected, her first year she made quiet a few enemies, coming off as spoiled and selfish. Which of course she is all those things. So her second and third year she didn't talk to many people, focused on her school work, she was a Ravenclaw after all, and rather smart.
During her fourth year, she realized how to get everything she wanted. It was insanely easy to manipulate people, they wanted to believe everyone was good, and once you had them wrapped around your finger they gave you whatever you wished for.
This was the beginning of her new persona, she began to act like a sweetheart. It was hard at first, forcing herself to appear like she was truly caring. She even went for the innocent, naive giggly girl look, which apparently most of the nice guys seemed to go for. Although at first she kept it to making fake friendships, but has upgraded this year.
Now Val has perfected her act, she gets those nice guys wrapped around her finger. She is a heartbreaker, her motivation is selfish in all cases, she never truly cares for any of those guys. Don't let her act fool you, she is far from sweet, caring or innocent. She plays off naive when it comes to relationships, as if she had never been with a guy before, while truthfully she was probably with three just this week. She uses guys, generally the good guys, because they were easy to manipulate and would give her anything if they believed she loved them. It was terrible really, hurting people in such a way, but Valerie always got her way. Always.
Generally she clashes with girls, seeing as they are less likely to give her whatever she wants, unless they are the type to be into girls. Which she has no problem with fooling girls either, she goes to any extent to feel in control.
