On August 27, 2008, Alice Marie Wood was born to two loving parents, Oliver & Katie. They met through the lovely sport of Quidditch -- both Gryffindors, playing for the same team , which Alice always found adorably romantic. They were both skilled players, her father even playing professionally after Hogwarts. She was the second to be born in her family, conceived after a steamy Christmas party to celebrate Oliver's fifth win of the season. Her older brother, a year older, used to feel the bump on Katie's abdomen, excited for a younger sibling.
At six months old, she cooed and giggled at everything. At around eight months old, she was already saying "momma." At a year and a half, she couldn't stop babbling. Constantly, she chattered, blabbed, and murmured, mimicking words that she heard and making her Wizarding toys fly around. She questioned everything, why this happened and why that. She liked to talk throughout her whole life and became a happy-go-lucky girl, keeping it consistent her whole life.
When she was one, her twin siblings were born. "Why are there two of them?" She asked. Katie couldn't answer; she didn't know Muggle sciences. Oliver wasn't home to try. When she was two, her little brother was born, a smarty-pants, who she always liked best.
Like when Muggle children try to ride bikes at six, Alice tried to mount a broomstick and kept falling. She turned out to be very clumsy and not fit for Quidditch. She wanted to impress and live up to her parents and maybe even meet her husband that way! She tried and tried again, but if she was on for even a minute, she would tumble over and fall to the ground again. She wanted to make her mommy and daddy proud. Unfortunately, she never became good at the game nor broomstick riding (which she is still disappointed about), and remained quite a klutz. However, she remained a fan of the sport, coming to the games her father played as much as she could.
At eight, she befriended the neighbors--even if they were Muggles. Alice was extremely extroverted, trying to talk and be nice to all she met. Usually, this was taken as annoying and obnoxious; the poor girl was quite sensitive to that.
Aside from her siblings, she made her first friend of the Wizarding world on the train to Hogwarts when she was eleven. She was excited about the experience--it was rebuilt after the Battle of Hogwarts and she hadn't seen it before. She was especially eager for the food; she heard the Sorting would bring a delicious feast.
As Alice took her seat between the chair and Sorting Hat, the raggedy hat instantly screamed, "HUFFLEPUFF!" Eyes wide with wonder, she was kind of crestfallen. She wasn't in Gryffindor like her parents, but the Sorting Hat's song described her perfectly. Friendly and helpful. A particularly good finder. She was the most outgoing person she knew! But..she couldn't get a fairy tale like her mother, romantically meeting her husband through Quidditch in Gryffindor. Her inner hopeless romantic was shattered. Still, she made good friends in Hufflepuff.
At thirteen, she heard about the Paper Angels, led by Victoire Weasley (whom she had always looked up to; she was just so pretty and grown up!) and the Wicked Wands, pushed to choose by her friends. "Of course I'd be in the Paper Angels!" She insisted. "I don't want to be a bad guy." So, the sides were chosen.
And now, Alice is sixteen, beginning a new year with Hufflepuffs, gladly welcoming new first years and perhaps scaring them with her upfrontness. Her friend Jezibel had died at the hands of the Wicked Wands, and she devoted herself to the Paper Angels' cause. To kill a student, her own close friend, was unforgivable and unforgettable.
Alice Marie Wood is a happy go lucky yet obnoxious, silly girl who loves daisies and making new friends. She tends to be naive, believing everyone has good in them (except for the ones who had killed Jezibel) leading her to be gullible and prone to traps. She isn't very skilled at Potions (she wasn't quite careful enough with ingredients) nor Divination ("I don't SEE anything, Professor!"), but excels at Charms. Her favorite is 'Accio' to summon something when she fails to be a good finder. She continues to love Quidditch, even if she isn't particularly good at it. Her attempts at humor earn many eyerolls, but smiles as well. She strives to please others (which, in turn, pleases herself) and is disappointed in herself when she doesn't succeed. She's quite sensitive to what others say and is quite fragile, making her a drama queen. Alice is outgoing, loud, and will stand up for what she believes in.
