"WHAT DO YOU THINK OF NEON TREES?"
"YOU WANT MY KNEES ON TREES?"
Well, well, well. Another one of these interview things, eh? Quite a few people want to get to know me for some odd reason, but I am who I am. Apparently, one conversation is supposed to have your soul spilled out to them.. But I feel as though that wouldn't quite work.
I suppose I could tell you a bit about myself, though.. because I honestly have nothing better to do at the moment. Gregory Zayden Smith - that's who I am. Well, it doesn't tell you who I am, but it's my identity. I find that to be pretty important, but you may not. I'm currently eighteen years of age and I'm a graduate of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. So take that, Dad! But anyhow - I'm a Hufflepuff alumni, so I'm quite familiar with the loyal badgers of the school. (Pretty awesome, personally speaking.) I wasn't the best at school, but I had some awesome friends (of whom, I'm still friends with). Hmm. Oh, right. I work as an ASL Interpreter.. Aka, American Sign Language.
How does that involve magic in my life? It honestly doesn't need to, but I translate for witches, wizards, and muggles. Any of those who may be deaf. But that's not all - I help modify or create spells that can possibly assist them in either potential hearing or to get by. I can't really explain it all right here, but I've come up with a few things for those people. A way for hands to appear to sign what a hearing person is saying, a translator where a voice comes through and speaks what you're signing to a hearing person, etc. They're not yet released, because I don't want them to be popular. I want them to be helpful. And - I feel as though they should be gifted personally and not sold worldwide.
I'm a private person, but I tend to be straight up with people at the same time. I like to have certain things to myself, but other times, I'm one of the most open guys around. I can be rather bipolar like that. Oh, and yes. I am a manic depressive. I've come to accept that and I do take medication to curb it from being too far out there. Without my meds, I can be a totally different person and that's not who I am. I am the person worth getting to know.. when I can handle my temperamental problems. Other than all of that stuff, I'm a pretty decent guy. Or, at least, I like to think so. I can be overbearing and somewhat demanding, but everyone has their flaws.
I'm a hopeless romantic, if you must know, too. I have a tendency to go all out on just the first date. It's a curse and yet, I enjoy doing it for people. There are always thoughts of endless possibilities for who I want to marry, and that's what I wish to have one day. A wife. There's something about a person being bonded to you for the rest of your life.. the start of a family.. the love and passion between two people. That's one of my biggest desires. I can't help but want that type of loving relationship.. and put my best foot forward with each optimistic step. But enough of that babble.. Quite a few people tend to get annoyed with how I could always continue on for hours about the subject.
I'm currently working for Mr. George Weasley, technically speaking. But, I'm by Fred Weasley's side most of the time. You see - I'm an ASL Interpreter, so I was hired to be a line of communication between a deaf student and the rest of the student body. He's able to read lips, so I'm just here to convey messages from him to his peers. It gets tough, because I see him as a friend and a really cool guy, but there are some days where we need breaks. Everyone needs 'em. So, of course, we'd need them too. Just like every straight guy couple. Ahaha. Insider. Anyway. I don't think there's much more about me that's necessary for this thing.
Oh. Wait. I was born and raised in London, England. I'm a halfblood; my mom's a muggleborn and my father's a pureblood. I have two brothers and one sister; two out of the three are still attending Hogwarts and one graduated just last year. I'm, of course, the eldest child. But I don't mind at all, considering it just makes me that much more grateful toward my parents and I love helping them out. I'm a helpful person, you see. It comes naturally. I enjoy aiding others; children, teens, adults, etc. So, growing up, I was always babysitting and teaching my younger siblings. They weren't home schooled, but I'm pretty sure I was like a second teacher to them.
Enough about me, though. I'm just a guy that has a job and barely lives his own life. I don't mind though. Fred is the guy that's important - even without the money. I couldn't care less about being paid, frankly. If it were up to me, I wouldn't get money for being there for Fred. I'd much rather do it for free. But his parents insisted and it would be rude to constantly refuse. They're like another family to me, too. Especially since I've been apart of Fred's life for two years now, right after having graduated from Hogwarts. Whatta life.
